A full-time systems administrator following initial consulting role to manage and maintain a 60+ mixed server environment (Windows/Unix/Linux), ensuring 99.9% or better uptime. Evaluate, monitor and enhance IT infrastructure with an emphasis on availability, reliability, scalability, security, data confidentiality and system integrity.
Key Contributions
• Improved systems security through administrating of McAfee Antivirus, McAfee Gateway Proxy, Vormetric file encryption and VASCO Two Factor Authentication.
• Insuring the 99% of availability of the virtual servers by Hyper V
• Managing Cloud Exchange (Intermedia) and in-house mail server (Mail Enable)
• Monitoring Servers and Cisco Devices availability by the use of Solarwinds Monitoring Tools (NTA, WPM and NPM)
• Monitoring Logs using Solarwinds Log Even Manager
• Ensuring that all the endpoints client is up to date using SCCM
• Ensure that all servers are maintained and running optimally
• Maintaining Backups of all Servers by managing using NetBackup
• AD management and maintenance
• Provide System Admin Support as required to maintain user accounts, DNS, DHCP, etc. and maintaining connectivity to the internet and VPN to Area office (Head Office - USA)
