☞ Use customer data sheets and specifications as input and convert them into output in the form of fabrication drawings and sketches using AutoCAD software
☞ Study of customer specifications and data sheets
☞ Preparing of Design calculations of Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers and other process equipments as per National and International codes like ASME, TEMA, PD 5500, etc

☞ Preparation of fabrication drawings of complex process equipment such as pressure vessels, reactors, heat exchangers, columns and internals
☞ Cross-checking of drawing details with bill of materials table of drawing for consistency
☞ Interference checking with reference to past project data to avoid any errors that may have occurred previously
☞ Ensuring correctness and timeliness for MTO's, drawings and other design documents

1) Design of Static Equipments Such as Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, Filters and Atm. storage tanks as per ASME Sec-VIII Div-1 using CODECALC & PV-Elite software.
2) Prepares job design calculations based on the design data contained in the contract.
2) Upon customer approval, releases the complete drawings to all respective departments.
3) Provides technical support and engineering clarifications to Project Department.
4) Coordinates connection design with detailers and checkers for clear understanding of the design
5) Shell & Nozzle thickness calculations (UG 27 & UG 45), Formed head thk. cal. (UG 32 & UG 33), Reinforcement cal. (UG 37), Hydro tests (UG 99), Impact testing (UCS 66 & 67), PWHT (UCS 56), Radiography requirement (UW 11), Joint efficiency (UW-12d) etc. Wind-Seismic design for Vessel Supports (channel support, saddle support) as per ASCE, UBC, IS-875/IS 1893 (Indian code) and many.
6) Design of Rectangular Atmospheric Storage tank (Using Theory Plates and shells - By S. Timoshenko and Roark's Formula for Stress and Strain.)
7) Flange design as per Appendix-2 & Flange selection as per ASME B 16.5.
8) Checking of all Fabrication drawings (Heat Exchangers, Atm. Storage, Pressure vessels, Filters, Structures) and their bill of material, General Arrangement drg, P & ID etc.
9) Weight calculations, Instrument tubing requirement, Paint requirement etc.
10) Responsible for timely dispatch of drawings and documents, to solve problems of production department about drawings.
