- Translated and revised thousands of exceptionally sensitive, complex and technical documents, within the established deadlines, while ensuring high quality and exceeding productivity standards;
- Monitored the quality of contractual translations;
- Developed a 41-page user-friendly Translator’s Guide to Security Council Procedures and Terminology, containing relevant up-to-date information and material aimed mainly at helping translation teams assigned to the Security Council to fulfill their task more efficiently;
- As a Terminology Forum Coordinator, initiated a reform process to increase the Forum’s efficiency, which culminated in the development of new terms of reference for a reinvented Forum;
- Actively participated in the United Nations Multilingual Terminology Database (UNTERM) revamping project;
- Successfully led translation teams in various projects and assignments, including the Security Council special assignments and the Journal, weekend and night duties;
- Successfully served as a member of the Third Committee resolutions’ concordance team;
- Actively supported the Service's efforts to achieve a full electronic documentation processing chain by achieving 100% on-screen translation and revision, testing and using new electronic platforms and tools, such as eLuna, gDoc and Unite Connections, while regularly and selectively using other available software (SDL Trados, dtSearch, Workshare, etc.) to improve quality and increase productivity;

In addition to meeting the company's needs in terms of translation and related services (including translation of commercial, economic, technical, legal, and other documents; consecutive interpreting in bilateral meetings; editing and proofreading), I was able to generate revenue for the company by providing such services to other corporate clients, including our partners in Morocco and the US.
Being familiar with ISESCO’s jargon since 1997 (when I joined the Organization as an intern), I was able to gain their trust over the years and be entrusted with important and sensitive translation and revision projects on a freelance basis.
I was also regularly offered short-term contracts to assist the Organization's internal translation team during the meetings of the Executive Council and the General Conference.
In this capacity, I translated and/or revised various types of documents covering a broad range of subjects dealt with by ISESCO, particularly in the areas of education, science and culture.
Under the supervision of the editor-in-chief, I was in charge of the 4-page English Section of the newspaper (the main section is published in French). My responsibilities included writing articles, conducting interviews and covering events; providing summary translations of selected articles from the French Section; and translating reports and other useful material for the French Section.
In this capacity, I acquired and enhanced basic journalistic skills; contributed to increasing the newspaper’s sales by attracting and maintaining an English-speaking audience; and provided help and guidance to two junior colleagues.

A 2-year intensive training course that culminated in a Master's degree equivalent (Diplôme de Traducteur), with honors. During this course of study, I spent a 1-month internship in the Translation Service of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO). I also chaired the Students' Cultural Committee.
