Supervising the legal team of lawyers, providing legal advice and responsible for drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and agreements such as sale and purchase agreements, legal due diligence, Acquisitions and Mergers (A& M), Supply agreements, financing agreements, MOUs, JV agreements, construction contracts, employment contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance with reference to the listing of shares on the Qatar Exchange (QE) and handling all transactions of the listed company before QE and QFMA, handling labour disputes and disciplinary actions.

• Lead and manage the Legal & Contracts team.
• Identify legal management approaches to be implemented in QMFOC.
• Manage the development and implementation of all QMFOC legal strategies, protocols & procedures.
• Manage the development & implementation of the tendering and contracting process, policies and procedures.
• Review the competitive tendering guidelines for the procurement of support facilities and services, operational service providers and producers.
• Ensure the successful registration of brands and Intellectual Property Rights.
• Develop guidelines for tendering and contract process and identify the roles and responsibilities of the other departments as they interface with the Legal and Contracts section.
• Oversee tendering and contracting master schedule.
• Oversee the development of integrated timelines for all goods and services in cooperation with Marketing and Sponsoring Directorate.
• Obtain General Tender Committee approval on tender plans, when required.
• Manage clarifications with bidders.
• Represent QMFOC in litigation and arbitration before courts and arbitral tribunal and liaise with external lawyers (if any).
• Represent QMFOC in legal conferences, seminars and courses.

A. served as a senior Legal Counsel in the Ministry of Municipal Affairs & Agriculture (MMAA) nowUrban Planning, Qatar, Where I was carrying out diversified legal responsibilities involving International and Local Tenders and Government, Civil and commercial Contracts, construction contracts which are derived from the FIDIC Conditions of Contract and analyzing the particular conditions of contract and the several tender documents forming the contracts for Public Works & Civil Engineering construction. Analysis of all legal aspects of the tender documents and the interpretation/ construction of the contracts & settlement of claims was my exclusive responsibility.
 Provided competent legal advice relating to Administrative Laws and Disputes, Drafting and negotiating or studying all other contracts & Agreements, to which the MMAA is a party such as professional services (consultancy) agreements, contracts for the Supply of Materials.
 I was also responsible for studying all the international agreements in which the MMAA is involved such as the international Environmental agreements & conventions, as well as the contracts for transfer of technology, Co-operation & Intellectual property agreements etc…
 Drafting of administrative regulations & Bylaws and preparing of competent legal and judicial pleadings in cases and proceedings brought by or lodged against the MMAA and its various departments.
 Responsible for settling all disputes and claims arising from contractual relations between the various departments of the MMAA of the one part and both local & foreign contractors and consultants of the other part.
B. I represented the MMAA in a committee which was constituted by the cabinet of Ministers to review, amend & revise the standardized contract

for the construction of Public Works which contract is applied and observed by all Ministries, Public Corporations and other administrative departments in the State of Qatar..

I joined a large group of trading companies in the State of Qatar with diverse commercial activities in the
Position of a corporate lawyer and legal advisor where my responsibilities included, but were not limited to:
1. Drafting, revising and negotiating international and domestic contracts between the Group of Companies of the one part and both local and

foreign companies of the other part.
2. Drafting and negotiating construction, commercial Agency, Labor, and joint Venture agreements, studying and revising the standard form contracts that were drafted and forwarded by International firms and corporations, registering commercial agencies and Trademarks with the competent Government authorities. I have acquired practical and broader exposure, proficiency and experience in the fields of patents, trademarks, Copyrights, Designs and Technical Information and all Commercial Aspects of Intellectual property.
3. Ensuring that the provisions of Civil, Commercial, Company, Labor & other relevant laws are strictly complied with and properly applied by the holding and subsidiary companies.
4. Conducting and advising on all legal aspects of the banking transactions of the Group of companies and their foreign partners executing projects or carrying out business in the State of Qatar.
5. Providing legal advice on all disputes involving comparative Laws of the Arab, Gulf and Foreign countries.
6. I was authorized by the Qatar Authorities to appear before all courts of Qatar in Judicial proceedings representing the companies. I also acted as counsel in arbitral proceedings both locally and before International arbitral Panels in London, UK.
