Responsibilities:
• I lead the contract management unit, overseeing tendering processes, contract administration, claims management, and contract close-out for a diverse portfolio of engineering and construction contracts.
• Analyse, amend and update contractual templates by incorporating industry best practices to enhance their eficiency, reduce risk exposure, and improve alignment with organizational
objectives.
• Liaise with the organization's insurance consultant to verify and maintain appropriate insurance coverage across various insurance lines, including assets, fidelity, Contractor All Risk, and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
• Collaborate closely with the legal department to address contractual issues with legal implications.
• Facilitate the pre-award procurement process by managing Requests For Proposal (RFP) submissions, tender committee evaluations, and award recommendations.
• Lead the management of commercial clarifications and resolution of contractual matters through reviewing contract terms, negotiating with vendors, and addressing any discrepancies or issues that arise.
• Oversee the contract management function, ensure strict adherence to the employer's procedures, monitor contract activities, review documentation, and implement best practices to optimize eficiency and compliance.
• Prepare and review post-contractual issues, including drafting letters, analyzing contractual correspondences, negotiating contract amendments, and facilitating settlement agreements.

• I Lead the entire procurement process from issuing expressions of interest requests to issuing letters of award to successful tenderers.

• Participate in the commercial evaluation of Requests For Proposals which involves analyzing pricing proposals, assessing vendor qualifications, and evaluating contractual terms and conditions to ensure alignment with project requirements and objectives.
• Develop comprehensive commercial evaluation reports that summarize evaluation findings, identify key considerations, and provide recommendations to support informed decision-making by project stakeholders.
• Meticulously analyze tender documents, blueprints, and contract conditions to gain a comprehensive understanding of the employer's requirements.
• Conduct thorough reviews of cost estimates to ensure the reasonableness of prices compared to market prices by utilizing benchmarking against industry standards.

• Maintain an up-to-date estimating cost database, regularly updating cost information and ensuring its accuracy and reliability to support decision-making processes and facilitate cost analysis.

• Responsible for floating Requests for Quotations (RFQs) for subcontracted items and conducting comparisons among received quotations to select the most competitive offers.

• Responsible for developing the Matrix of Responsibilities (MOR) for proposals, which clarifies the responsibilities of each team member to facilitate effective collaboration and consensus-building.
