November 1986-April 2010: At the United Nations Relief and Work Agency (UNRWA) for Palestinian in the Near East.
Started as supply officer then promoted, with effect from 1989, to Administrative officer handling the following duties and responsibilities:-
A) Direct and supervise the administrative works of the department including Finance, Personnel, Administration and Supply matters and in particular:- i) Prepare the departmental operating and project budget estimates and control expenditures thereunder.
ii) Prepare staffing tables, proposals and RPSs and maintain staffing table records.
iii) Ensure the provision of various supplies and maintains appropriate records thereof.
iv) Prepare contract proposals (services) for consideration by the Field Contracts Committee and follow up to ensure the updating of standing agreements.
v) Review bills received to ensure their accuracy and conformity with the contracts terms.

B) Initiate correspondence of administrative and financial nature and prepare regular and periodic operational reports.

C) Collect, compile and analyse statistical data related to the program; maintains up-to-date records and files on the department's activities and staff.

D) Maintain up-to-date records of the department's projects, and prepare progress reports on the implementation of funded projects.

E) Assist in the management of fellowships/grants when funds are available for such needs.

Duties were: Reviewing the journal vouchers prepared by other accountants and passing them for posting. Checking the cash and bank payment vouchers, and signing cheques jointly with the resident engineer. Handling banks accounts and arranging for credit facilities. Preparing, adjusting and closing entries then preparing financial statements. that was in addition to handling the duties and responsibilities as an administrator.
