- Collaborating with the Director of High School System and School Leaders to conduct significant professional development around new initiatives in the areas of student assessment and data management.
- Collaborating with the Director of High School System for the purpose of continuous implementation of any Institutional Effectiveness plan dictated by IAT leadership.
- Assisting in devising policies and procedures to improve IAT’s assessment procedures.
- Determining a common timetable for assessments stages, and advises all pertinent academic assessment activities by helping with the selection of measurable criteria and the selection or development of appropriate instruments.
- Providing faculty and staff with assessment education by arranging workshops and maintaining a pool of resources concerned with contemporary assessment methodology, ideas and practices as well as information about national and international assessment.
- Partnering with school leadership teams to support school’s assessment protocols, analyze data, and support them in identifying areas for improvement.
- Using assessment results as KPIs for IAT success.
- Management of implementation and administration of IAT tests as well as national and international standardized exams.
- Utilizing different up-to-date research findings that contribute to the enhancement and improvement of student performance in assessment.
- Overseeing the development or outsourcing of appropriate electronic exam generator software and other assessment related applications.
- Collaborating with academic department chairs, program directors, and administrative department heads in developing, maintaining, and conducting authentic student assessment.
- Ensuring the validity and reliability of diagnostic, formative and summative assessment tools as well as the alignment among instruction, curriculum, and assessment.
- Ensuring that all outgoing research articles meet internationally accepted standards.
- Undertaking other related duties as may be assigned from time to time by the institute.
- Design career-oriented curriculum and programs aligned to internationally recognized educational objectives.
- Manage the selection of suitable instructional resources and support materials that meet learning objectives and
outcomes.
- Prepare regular system-wide exams and guide in the overall assessment of learning.
- Develop teaching syllabi, planning overviews, and guidelines to facilitate the delivery of rigorous academics in
campuses.
- Keep abreast of (and evaluate) current best practices in education, teaching, curriculum design, and assessment.
- Regularly liaise with system-wide teaching staff to ensure that both curricular goals and student learning needs are
met.
- Identify Professional Development needs for teaching staff.
- Coordinating with ADEC and MOE for SIS implementation in all ATHS campuses.
- Adapting SIS platform functions and features with ATHS curriculum and assessment paradigm.
- Providing training to all concerned staff across campuses for a quick implementation of SIS.
- Troubleshooting and assisting in any problems that may hinder the implementation of the different features of SIS.
- Liaising with ADEC and MOE with regard to the policies and protocols of SIS implementation.
- Serving as the official liaison between the campus and the respective subject Curriculum Developer in AS.
- Serving as a member of the campus “Academic Committee” as well as in other institutional committees.
- Collaborating with colleagues to construct benchmark lessons.
- Participating in the development of standards-based curriculum, instruction, and assessment plans.
- Updating subject content and participating in subject content writing.
- Leading the delivery of revision, coursework, remedial and enrichment programs as appropriate.
- Ensuring that the subject team's teaching are effectively timetabled and roomed, in liaison with the person
responsible for constructing the school timetable.
- Participating in a formal class observation of colleagues in the subject area and providing appropriate peer coaching
and mentoring.
- Ensuring that appropriate arrangements are in place to cover for absent staff and that all substitutes have lesson
plans.
- Facilitating weekly teaching staff meetings.
- Coordinating communication and planning among all learning communities.
- Providing assistance and Professional Development with regard to curriculum implementation.
- Initiating and participating in teachers’ professional development activities including orientation and training of new
teachers.
- Assisting in the adoption of curriculum resources and textbook ordering, and ensuring that all available resources
are used effectively to meet curriculum goals.
- Assessing and analysing students’ results and elaborating remedial plans accordingly.
- Planning, managing and working with other team members to improve learning outcomes.
- In collaboration with Lead Teachers implementing and continually improving curriculum, teaching, learning and
assessment strategies.
- Managing the learning of the students, maintaining records, collaborating with other teachers and promoting staff
development in a pro-active manner.
- Planning and participating in professional development opportunities to further knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Managing all facilities and activities and gearing them towards maximizing student learning
- Playing a leadership role in modelling behavior, attitudes, and best practices for students.
- Achieving the set learning outcomes in students, and therefore supervising all student activities and processing them
to ensure outcomes.
- Developing and updating teaching materials and assisting with program quality assurance processes.
- Liaising with Student Counselors and communicating progress and performance to students and school
management/administration.
