I was workingon tailing dams that was reclamation of copper TLPdepartment that we repaired units like
•valves, centrifugalpumps, bearings and other pipe fittings that where worn, conveyor belts, vibrators, belt filter conveyors and replacement of worn out components of machineries.
It was the smelter up grade where I was engaged in mechanical construction works e.g. interpreting of drawings, mounting of machinery like launders, pumps, alignment and connecting them to driver electric motors, assembly of units like conveyors and steel elections to engineering standards.
Overhauling of pumps which ranged from C5 centrifugal pumps to 16 -12 pumps, bearing replacement and writing of reports to the foremanregards daily routine duties.
Mounting of vibrators,
Replacement of linerson vibrators and maintenance on belt conveyors like changing of the belt, replacing idlers, bearings, rollers and alignment of the belt if it is running off centre.
Maintenance ofstarter sheet machines which operated by hydraulics and pneumatics therefore replacement and maintenance of hydraulic cylinder, replacement of hoses, valves and other related components.
