· Closely monitors and analyzes sales volumes, market share trends and competitive activity.
· Assists in developing and executing promotional initiatives to profitably increase consumption within budgeted parameters.
· Assists in the identification and development of business building ideas and works with other business unit team members to execute the plans that meet investment criteria.
· Coordinates product management and/or cost reduction projects with internal and external resources to achieve results (product development, production planning, trade promotion, sales, market research, consultants and advertising agencies).
· Analyzes consumption and shipment data and compares results to established objectives to assure the effectiveness of marketing programs.
Implement policies, procedures, and organizational structure for assigned operating unit within the framework of corporate policy.
2. Assist in the establishment and ensure compliance of operational unit’s short-term and long-term goals with overall corporate objectives.
3. Plan, staff, and supervise all assigned work unit activities through subordinate managers to ensure a cohesive operational unit.
4. Provide support to any number of projects from an operational, financial and resource standpoint.
5. Responsible for developing strong field force including apprentices, labour foremen, carpenter foremen in conjunction with the general superintendent as well as project managers and superintendents.
6. Provide advice, guidance, and direction to subordinate executives and managers toward their professional development.
7. Monitoring availability and flow of personnel as well as hiring, motivating and assigning teams to projects.
8. Coordinate and confer with professional staff to resolve operating problems and difficulties, and authorize department operational procedures within corporate framework. Serves as management team member.
9. In conjunction with the project managers and superintendents, responsible for maintaining good working relationships and promoting good public relations with the Owners, Architects and the community.
10. Responsible for the future outlook for area and in investigating all leads connected with the securing of new work.
11. Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
