- Review shop drawings to ensure that they are in accordance with the design and that they are coordinated. Where applicable, receive feedback from the Site Engineer/Inspector or design office.
- Review method statements to ensure that the sub-contractor proposal is feasible and will achieve the intended purpose.
- Inspect deliveries/installed/constructed work to ensure that it is in accordance with the shop drawings and the specifications.
- Witnesses testing and commissioning and performance of various plant and systems. Issue ‘Handing over’ certificate for completed works.
- Review construction schedules, monitor and report on the progress of work to the project manager.
- Monitor contractor’s submittals to local authorities and ensure that they are carried out in a timely manner in accordance with the contract document.
- Respond to sub-contractor’s request for information to clarify ambiguities.
- Review and approve sub-contractor’s payment in line with estimated work completion so that he can be paid for the actual work done.
- Review and approve sub-Contractor’s change order request and variation so that legitimacy and extent can be confirmed. Prepare and issue job site instructions for new works and modifications.

- Manage construction for all mechanical disciplines and pre-installation works related to APM automated people mover (METRO) such as. HVAC, Smoke Management, Fire Fighting Protection and Infrastructure at Depot, Stations and Viaduct.
- Ensuring that the installation of major equipment such as train wash, HVAC, fume extraction, wheel lathes and maintenance/inspection facilities interface effectively with the vehicles through the successful integration of the Mechanical and Electrical engineering teams
