- Review shop drawings to ensure that they are in accordance with the design and that they are coordinated. Where applicable, receive feedback from the Site Engineer/Inspector or design office.
- Review method statements to ensure that the sub-contractor proposal is feasible and will achieve the intended purpose.
- Inspect deliveries/installed/constructed work to ensure that it is in accordance with the shop drawings and the specifications.
- Witnesses testing and commissioning and performance of various plant and systems. Issue ‘Handing over’ certificate for completed works.
- Review construction schedules, monitor and report on the progress of work to the project manager.
- Monitor contractor’s submittals to local authorities and ensure that they are carried out in a timely manner in accordance with the contract document.
- Respond to sub-contractor’s request for information to clarify ambiguities.
- Review and approve sub-contractor’s payment in line with estimated work completion so that he can be paid for the actual work done.
- Review and approve sub-Contractor’s change order request and variation so that legitimacy and extent can be confirmed. Prepare and issue job site instructions for new works and modifications.

- Responsibility of mechanical equipment distribution and installation in depot buildings and stations.
- Depot buildings utilities hang over as well as L-building storm and sewage drainage installation.
- Manage construction for all mechanical disciplines and pre-installation works related to APM automated people mover (METRO) such as. HVAC, Smoke Management, Fire Fighting Protection and Infrastructure at Depot, Stations and Viaduct.
- Ensuring that the installation of major equipment such as train wash, HVAC, fume extraction, wheel lathes and maintenance/inspection facilities interface effectively with the vehicles through the successful integration of the Mechanical and Electrical engineering teams

- Coordinating with other disciplines regarding design and construction issues. Carrying out coordination between architects, electrical, structural and site service engineers, as well as utilities and municipalities.
- Coordination and Communication with other main-contractors, Sub-contractors, consultant and suppliers.
- Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites.
- Participate in monthly contractor’s pay application review and approval process for assigned project.

Responsibility of all internal and external mechanical activities co-ordinated with other activities to have consultant approval for RFI, RFT, MIR and SI or NCR.

- Estimating hydraulic calculation for chilled water system, domestic water supply system, drainage system & duct design for air conditioning.
- Check the mechanical material as per contract specs and approved drawings.
- Preparing Submittals, Quantity surviving & making material supply request.
- Site supervision for all mechanical items (HVAC, Fire fighting sprinkler system, water Supply & Drainage system, S.T.P, & R.O. Plant, Medical gas system &( B.M.S) and quality control.
- Coordination with architectural, structural and all other disciplines and the quality control of the mechanical activities in the site.
- Prepare and following up any related RFI, RFT, MIR.
- Prepare and following up any related variation order.
- Preparing the Inspection Request to the Consultant.
- Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites.
- Preparing the Builders work request to the Civil Engineering Department. Conduct contract document reviews to identify quality and constructability opportunities for enhancement.
