1. Analyses new rules and changes issued for consultation by the Central Bank of Bahrain or the third parties.
2. Distribute the analyses to the Association member.
3. Attend consultative meetings called by the issuer to represent the industry to modify the rules.
4. Engage the regulator early in the rule-making process.
5. Process new / changed regulations.
6. Educate the members as to background and need for the new rules.
7. Inform the members of the impact that proposed rule(s) will have on them.
8. Liaison with CBB for Implementations of BHIBOR & IBAN (National Projects initiated by Central Bank of Bahrain and managed by Bahrain Association of Banks).
9. Finalized the complete process of Bahrain Association of Banks such as Article of Association and registration.
10. Successfully managed Bahrain Dinars Interbank offered Rate (BHIBOR) and went live Oct 9th 2011
11. Currently handling the IBAN project in full coordination with CBB we will go live on January 31, 2012.
