HR Operations & Payroll Manager Olive Group, Dubai April 2007 to Present

Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller with responsibility for:-

• Preparation and management of monthly payroll for over 300 employees across Middle East and Europe
• Calculation and provision of end of service benefits for all types of leavers in UAE, QATAR, KSA
• Provide payroll data to outsourced payroll companies i.e Rawlinson & Hunter in the UK
• Supervise 1 Payroll Executive and 1 HR Administrator
• Oversee and implement HR policy in all business units
• Administration of Medical Health Claims and provision of data to Broker and Employees
• Dealing with day to day queries on all aspects of HR administration and employee relations
• Handles & serve company redundancies from negotiation up to the final settlement.
• Supporting the on-boarding of new employees from provision of contracts to induction into company
• Responsible for collection of employee data and registering and updating on HR Management Information System (HRNet)
• Provision of Management Reports to HR Operations Manager and VP of HR Shared Services
• Provision of support and guidance to visa administrator and PRO.
• Generation of Employee Letters for visa renewals, bank loans, salary certificates, employment certificates etc
• Responsible for preparation of employee personnel files

Reporting to the HR Manager with dotted line to HR Director and Manufacturing Director with responsibility for the co-ordination, oversee and implement ion of all company-wide activities involving personnel policies and procedures on Manpower Planning & Development; Compensation & Benefits & Employee Relations

Recruitment
• Sourcing, selection, placement and deployment of applicants;
• Orientation of new employee;
• Strictly observed and monitor the manpower budget;
• Prepare the monthly manpower count analysis;
• Maintain the manpower pool through continuous attendance and networking with government and non-government institutions, referrals, jobs fair, walk-in etc.

Employee Relations
• Handles / represents the company in any employee complaints/dispute before the office of the Department of Labour & Employment
• Conducts investigation & gives necessary disciplinary measures on violation of company rules & regulation.
• Conduct counselling for erring employees
• Participated in Collective Bargaining Agreement Negotiation
• Process retrenchment


Compensation & Benefits
• Handle all employees' complaints on salary & all other benefits.
• Coordinate all company annual activities like summer outing, sport fest & Christmas parties.

Manpower Planning & Development
• Coordinate/process employees internal movement or transfers
• Process employees performance appraisal & coordinate the same to various departments
• Coordinate with seminar outfit all employees training
• Assisted / coordinate in house training
• Conducted once an in-house seminar "Back to Basic Seminar" for 300 employees.

Note: Transferred to Jaecas Specialty, a member of Goldilocks Bakeshop Group of Companies, in December 2001 as Plant HR Officer with the same responsibilities.
