A. Roles and Responsibilities Description:
The ATM Systems & Technical Support Specialist is responsible for various technical and administrative duties in the project. These duties include project task tracking & process documentation to help the project team stay on track.
The ATM Systems & Technical Support Specialist reports to the manager of the Oman Airspace Strategic Project (OASP) and work closely with the teams in executing the project goals/milestones.
Conduct researches and studies of latest equipment, technologies, processes & best practices that may be usefully adapted within the overall plan.
Collaborate with air navigation managers, airlines, regulators, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth and safe operations of air traffic management.
Developing, implementing, and monitoring ATM policies, procedures, and standards;
Conducting inspections, audits, and assessments to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices;
Providing technical advice, guidance, and ensure availability of training provisions to ANSP staff;
Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve difficulties;
Analyzing and reporting aviation data, trends, and performance indicators;
Managing and overseeing projects, contracts, budgets, and resources.
Attend events, meetings, forums, seminars, symposiums, workshops related to ASM & ATM.
Implement regional plans and regional supplementary procedures;
Implementation of ICAO standard procedure & best recommended practices
B. Task tracking:
Monitor the project plan. While the project manager ensures every team, member contributes to project progress, the ATM Systems & Technical Support Specialist is in charge of tracking individual tasks.
Monitor the project schedule and get task-level updates from team members on each task.
Prepare, organize, and distribute all necessary project materials.
Track a risk log.
Draft progress and project milestone signoff reports.
C. Process documentation:
Create and maintain project file, project plans, recording and reporting systems.
Inscribe, categorize, share, store, update documents and filing system.
D. Meeting administration:
Schedule meetings and ensure all arrangements are in place.
Recording minutes of meetings, notes and list the action items after each meeting.
