My Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Acts as the Company representative in front of the clients, relevant authorities and contractors and subcontractors during the portfolio course of design and execution.
2. Oversees establishment of Project Design and Execution Plan (PDEP), Quality Assurance / Quality Control Plan (PQP), and other documents as required.
3. Collaborates with the office departments to address project requirements prior to and during design and execution stages.
4. Establishes the portfolio / programs requirements for all areas of the project and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to the stipulated criteria.
5. Works with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop statement of works, budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project.
6. Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans and assures that the works are delivered on time and to budget.
7. Manages the contract and applies all its terms and conditions, in order to ensure compliance of the contracting parties.
8. Communicates effectively, orally and in writing with all involved stakeholders through the agreed communication channels and according to the established communication plan. Prepares correspondence, written reports and presentations, in briefing the client and senior personnel.
9. Familiar with International forms of EPC Contracts such as FIDIC, and Federal and Local Government laws as well as with the rules and regulations of relevant permitting authorities, and well aware of all the procedural requirements, review requirements, and approval requirements of their different departments.
10. Reviews and discusses the qualifications required of the key project positions in specific detail with relevant department managers.
11. Mobilizes and utilizes company resources, through liaison with supporting departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work.
12. Leads, manages, and motivate the interdisciplinary teams of professionals and supporting staff categories to ensure proper and smooth flow of works among different disciplines.
13. Develops and distributes a one-to-two-page description of the project to all members of the project team for their well understanding and reference.
14. Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activities within the portfolio / programs, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.
15. Monitors milestones and task activities to ensure timely completion of projects. Performing variance analysis and making recommendations for change, to ensure schedule commitments are met.
16. Establishes weekly meeting to review portfolio / programs status and formulate suitable course of action.
17. Works with the key project individuals to devise and execute preventive and corrective action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work. Advises the client and company management of any such changes. Maintains current and timely change orders.
18. Participates in negotiations with regulatory authorities and in public meetings in support of the client (whenever required). Negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client and key stakeholders.
19. Integrates competing and/or conflicting elements into the planning and execution processes so that portfolio / programs requirements flow smoothly, and therefore the projects be completed timely.
20. Promotes the Company name to help securing new or additional works either with the same client or any other potential clients.

1. Performs difficult and very complex field engineering assignments involving the development, execution, supervision, and coordination of all technical aspects of a construction project.
2. Implements a comprehensive Peer Review to the complete set of construction drawings, in order to ensure proper coordination among different disciplines (Architectural, Structural and MEP), and to diminish any potential discrepancies before issuing the IFC set of drawings to the contractor.
3. Establishes suitable policies, procedures, methodologies and site instructions, in order to ensure high quality level of supervision in respect of the contract documents, local authorities regulations and industry practice standards.
4. Establishes and maintains liaison with the discipline design engineering staff.
5. Reviews and interprets discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure current revision level and correct technical execution of the work.
6. Reviews and approves all contractor’s submittals such as Shop Drawings, Materials, Method Statements, Prequalification … etc, prior to starting any related site activities.
7. Supervises site Inspectors, ensuring that tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures.
8. Maintains first level quality assurance to confirm that the installation of all work within all disciplines is in accordance with the plans, specifications, and industry standards.
9. Monitors -with the help of the Site QA/QC Team- all the ongoing site activities, and taking suitable and timely preventive and corrective actions, in order to ensure work compliance with the design and specifications. Coordinates all contractors activities for assigned area.
10. Collaborates with construction team to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment, the safety or health of employees.
11. Ensures that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with site specific safety procedures and industry standards.
12. Provides resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline(s); coordinates application of solutions.
13. Prepares any required revisions in drawings, and replying to any Requests for Information (RFI’s) needed by the contractor / subcontractors during the construction stage.
14. Develops discipline construction schedules and monitors progress. Provides schedule and progress appraisal report to the Project Manager.
15. Monitors material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned discipline. Ensures that materials received meet specifications and established standards of quality.
16. Initiates and maintains records, back charge procedures, progress reports, etc., as required.
17. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
18. Applies further intensive and strict inspection during the Testing and Commissioning stage, in order to ensure the efficiency and compatibility of the installed systems, and to facilitate the final inspection of relevant Authorities to expedite obtaining the Building Completion Certificate (BCC).
19. Prepares project Closing Reports and handing it along with all project documents (Reports, As-Built Drawings, Manuals and Warranty Certificates … etc.) out to the Project Manager / Client / Assigned Stakeholder.

1. Set plans of delivering Structural Department deliverables and participate in setting out the overall plan of projects in design phase.
2. Lead the structural team while designing different types of constructions, mainly residential, commercial and office buildings.
3. Formulate the structural design, to achieve the optimum structure safety, serviceability and functionality.
4. Prepare professional reports about the structural design that need to be submitted to the client or relevant Authority for their approval.
5. Prepare list of civil materials and specifications to be included in the contract documents.
6. Conduct regular onsite observation of work during construction to monitor work compliance with respect to the design and specification.
7. Prepare any required revisions and reply to Requests for Information required about the structural design during the construction stage.
8. Review shop drawings and check its compatibility with the project design as well as the relevant international standards.
9. Determine procedures and methodologies (Method Statements) and site instructions -during work execution- with respect to specifications, local authorities regulations and relevant international standards.
10. Supervise and inspect construction work from time to time -whenever required- to support the Construction Team in achieving the best quality of work supervision.
