Information Technology :

Be the group CIO level in terms of setting the global IT strategies covering: Business Applications, Technical Portfolio, Infrastructure & Projects Management as well as Shared Services Centers.

The role identify the main key pillars for setting the global strategy in the form of:

SAP as the key ERP enabler of the Group.
Infrastructure Unification to pave the way to gloablize our infrastructre and to be able to move from the layer of services provision to service acquisition .
Leverage the key IT skills to manage large captial projects to service the group as an agile provider.
Establish the presence of global data centers strategically to position the group in the top quartile among its peers within the same industries.

Job Summary:

To direct and manage the effective use of information technology, technical engineering and infrastructure services by Shell companies in the Levant & North Africa Regions and to improve the competitiveness of these companies in pursuit of its technical and business objectives, as well as to continuously adopt the regional/global guidelines and develop their proper control mechanism.

Main Responsibilities:

•To advise The Levant & North Africa Countries and where relevant other Shell JVs on the proper management of IT efforts in terms of overall appropriateness, cost benefits, customer focus and quality of services provided.
•To support the companyies strategic objectives through the effective implementation of an IT strategic plan which compiles the global/regional/local needs of IT resources.
•To manage the resources of the Levant Countries IT group and ensure that a safe reliable, responsible and secure IT and telecommunication services are provided which are appropriate to the needs of the business.
• To plan, obtain approval for and control IT expenditure and to consolidate and report on all expenditure on IT activities in the Levant & North Africa Countries to the Central IT Organization.
• To develop, direct and control the technical, functional and administrative activities of personnel engaged or associated with the provision of automated information, telecom, technical engineering facilities and data communication services and processing capabilities.
• To provide continuous support for the JVs IT organization through proper engagement with Shell support and leveraging their technical and functional expertise.
• To enhance relations and to aim for a shared vision building with the IT counterpart in the oil governmental bodies to facilitate cost recovery process of IT expenditure.
• To implement locally the agreed plan of global processes and to make sure that minimum IT standards are continuously met.

•To liaise with EP IT CIO Office and EP Middle East (EPM) IT for IT services on all matters of policies, standards, guidelines and strategies which have a direct impact on IT as well as the local business environment, and to represent Shell Egypt’s interests in all forums where Group policy on such matters is determined.
