The Division Head of Permitting is responsible for the evaluation and assessment of development applications to ensure that potential harm to the environment is minimal; manages workflow, negotiates with key stakeholders, and makes recommendations regarding proposed developments after considering the impact of proposed projects on the environment; monitors existing development projects and their impact; reports on compliance issues and recommends actions for breaches of environmental laws.
Key Responsibility:
. Managing the development of environmental assessment policy, procedures and guidelines for Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority.
• Receiving all the Investment Facilitation Forums from the Investment Directorate.
• Classifying Projects within the zone into 3 categories according to their environmental impact.
• Recommending the issuing of Environmental Clearance for the projects within the zone.
• Performing Environmental inspection and auditing for the projects within the zone to insure the implementation of EMSs and EMPs .
• Reviewing EIA studies, Including scooping, reviewing EIS Document and Issuing environmental Clearance.
• Searching through the internet environmental requirement for project within Aqaba Special Economic Zone “ASEZ”.
• Design and perform different environmental programs and projects for ASEZA.
• Contribute to environmental workshops and conferences and participate in conducting training courses for universities and colleges , Give presentation and write Environmental assays at Magazines.
• Assisting in Putting new Environmental regulations within the Zone.
• Working at environmental program for managing the data at EIA division.
• Receiving all the Investment Facilitation Forums from the Investment Directorate.
• Classifying Projects within the zone into 3 categories according to their environmental impact.
• Recommending the issuing of Environmental Clearance for the projects within the zone.
• Performing Environmental inspection and auditing for the projects within the zone .
• Reviewing EIA studies, Including scooping, reviewing EIS Document and Issuing environmental Clearance.

• Increasing the awareness of people in the Zone about environment by conducting workshops, Give presentation and write Environmental assays at Magazines.
