Job Description: Completion Senior Field Engineer/supervisor
Job Summary
The Senior Field Engineer is responsible for delivering high quality services to the Clients. Service quality, job preparation and planning and job safety are key directives. He/she is responsible for the management, training and development of any subordinate.
Functions
A) People
• Organizes, leads and controls personal training as well as the training of all Personnel reporting to, through the implementation of the relative Technical Training Programs.
• Regularly reviews the performance of subordinates and conducts regular coaching as per the SLB mentoring scheme.
• Attends to his personal development and improvements in completions design, and in using TDAS, Welbuilder etc,
• Champions the implementation of one technology to a high level of proficiency
B) Processes
• To understand, follow and uphold all Schlumberger QHSE standards. Actively participate in local loss prevention programs.
• To perform his/her tasks to the highest standard to provide excellent service during all phases of the operation to demonstrate operational competence to be assessed during a proficiency test.
• Performs regular audits of processes and ensures compliance to SLB standards
C) Equipment
Sales & Operations:
• Maintains close client contacts and ensures awareness of Clients' proposed activity.
• Carries out completions design as per SLB/industry best practice and review it with FSM and clients.
• Organizes and controls the maintenance of all equipment in accordance with the procedures.
• Ensures that the operating cells are adequately equipped, as per Segment policies, to provide adequate working and maintenance facilities.
• Plans all operations to ensure high quality service with the best economical and technical efficiency.
• Promotes respect for operating procedures and adherence to safety regulations.
D) Report to Feild service manager
• I received and I keep inventory of old and new equipment.
• I supervised the quality assurance and quality control of any equipment received.
• I supervised the design and selection of equipment for completion.
• I ensured that all equipment taken to client’s location for completion meets the design specification.
• On the rig, as the supervisor and lead man of the team, I ensure that we have the correct and complete equipment to do the job.
• As a completion specialist I have installed many tubing retrievable sub surface safety valves in various clients well all over Nigeria and abroad.
• I’m highly experience in the installation of different packers such as permanent, retrievable seal bore packers, the tubing retrievable packers.
• I’m very competent with the installation (running tally and space out) of dual string completions.
• In 2009 I was the completion supervisor in mamoura project in Tunisia. It was a triple zone gravel packer completion. The following where installed, Qmax and quantum packer, MFIV, sliding sleeves, Nipples, hydro 11 dual packer, Surface control sub surface safety valves, swivels, dual tubing hanger etc.
This section of Schlumberger carry’s out well intervention for clients all over
Nigeria.
• I disassemble, assemble and service slickline running, retrieving and pulling tools.
• I was involved in jobs designs and selection of tools.
• As a slickline specialist I supervised well interventions jobs such as wax cutting, swabbing, installing and pulling of Sub surface safety valves, sand bailing etc in over 20 wells in various clients location
