• Follow NRW project scope, timeline, and cost.
• Ensure that water utilities are implementing the NRW project in accordance with USAID regulations.
• Assist water utilities to prepare procedures for reducing NRW particularly to leak detection.
• Ensure the tendering procedures for all assets which will incorporate with the projects.
• Monitor the construction contractor to abide with the Environmental Mitigation and Monitoring Plan (EMMP)
• Participate on the technical evaluation committees to select contractors.
• Certify that construction was completed in accordance with the design and specifications.
• Follow up construction activities targets and reporting to Monitor and Evaluation Dep.
• Oversee all Project activities in accordance with Contract Documents, providing Engineering solutions for encountered challenges.
• Prepare technical and contractual correspondence for all Project events.
• Evaluate contractor material submittals, interim payments, and Shop drawings, offering contractual and technical recommendations.
• Examine and Monitor the Construction Program, promptly reporting any necessary updates.
• Maintain quality throughout the Project lifecycle, encompassing network installation and commissioning.
• Enforce health and safety standards throughout the construction process.
• Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly reports.
• Mitigate environmental impacts by implementing measures aligned with the Environmental Impact Assessment.
• Assess and review contractor submissions, encompassing shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, inspection requests, and interim payments.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to proactively identify potential project challenges.
• Demonstrate the flow wastewater treatment processes.
• Oversee construction activities, encompassing Massive Reservoir, Pipe Yarding, fittings, Valves, and transmission pipeline.
• Monitor contractor progress and prepare necessary reports in accordance with donor and employer specifications.
• Examine Contractor’s variation orders and Claims to provide determinations to the Client.
• Supervise the transmission pipeline activities in wadi area with all installed protections elements (Gabions and Encasement)
• Provide the required technical solution according to hydraulic model to be compliant with the project variation requests.
• Ensure quality in achieving Project targets, including network commissioning, pressure measurements, and critical point analyses.
• Review interim payments and Material submittal.
• Prepare monthly and daily reports aligned with the timeline schedule.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Review shop drawings to ensure proper disconnection and connection of existing and proposed pipes for DMA formation.
• Oversee the installation of water and wastewater networks and pump stations with all components (Pipelines, fittings, Valves, Reservoirs and SCADA)
• Assist in the preparation of agreements, amendments, and contract documents.
• Conduct a thorough review of the hydraulic module and Water Distribution Zones design, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency for a municipal water supply Program.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure Program objectives are met, including NRW reduction, water saved quantities, pressure management, network isolation, and bulk water measurements.
• Classify, coordinate and meet with Program’s stakeholders.
• Monitor project budget, timelines, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with the finance director for accurate disbursement requests.
• Contribute to the closure plan, handing over procedures, including O&M manuals, training, and analysis.
• Supply and install HDPE pipes, ductile iron pipes, and galvanized iron pipes with all needed accessories and fittings and house connections.
• Install all needed valves at the Project (Isolation, Pressure Released, Washout, Flow Control & Air Release)
• Carry out reinstatement activities.
• Implement sub-activities for NRW reduction and water loss control, including installation and calibration of flow meters and pressure control valves, network isolation and commissioning, hydraulic balancing, and zoning.
• Review design drawings and hydraulic models to ensure accuracy on-site.
• Prepare the network for permanent operation through flushing, biological testing, and isolation.
• Utilize trenchless techniques for HDPE pipe construction.
• Prepare the network for permanent operation as (Flushing, Biological test and isolation)
• Construction the HDPE pipes using the trenchless techniques.
