Key Responsibilities:
• To provide Technology Support to New York University Abu Dhabi infrastructure.
• Event Management and coordination with Technical team, contractor and vendors.
• Day to day Incident and Request Management for NYUAD students, staff and community.
• To support Operational and Project changes.
• Network and System configuration for Operational hardware (e.g Cisco, HP, Dell etc.)
• To support and maintain the configuration of devices and appliances( Cisco switches & Routers, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity, Webex, ADSL routers Plycom devices, IPTV )
• Runbook, Operational documentation and Process versioning control.
• IT remote-support to the Business Services.
• Vendor and Sub-contractor coordination.
• Out of hours on call support for all infrastructure related issues and outages.
Achievements:
• Successful transition of Major Wireless Network from Juniper to Cisco and also completed Wireless Ap mapping across the campus and updated them on monitoring tools.
• Completion of project for updating network devices on monitoring tool (Manage Engine ITS360).
• Worked closely with Vendors and Architects for successful deployment of Network appliances(Cisco 4507, 4510, 3760, 2960 switches and Netgear routers)
• Proactive incident reporting to avoid major Network problems and outages.
• Core IT support for Commencement Day with implementation of 3rd line redundancy network for live streaming.
• Over 500 Incidents and 200 Request were dealt in record time of four months.
• Successfully troubleshooting of over 20 problems related to Network and System.
• Installing and configuring computer Hardware, Software, Systems, Servers, Networks, CCTV
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems, networks and other IT Systems
• Updating current infrastructure, deploying new equipment
• Talking staff or clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues
• Troubleshooting system & network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
• Maintain overall ownership of user’s issue & service ensuring that they receive resolution within a reasonable timeframe
• Provide enhancement request feedback to IT regarding technology environment and customer needs through the defined processes
• Support the following technologies: Microsoft Office 2007-13 products - Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Internet Explorer, Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 & MAC, desktops & laptops, printers, networked copiers, NIC’s, basic LAN/WAN connectivity and others as assigned
• Manage service requests, software installations, new computer setups, upgrades, etc.
• Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals
• Testing and evaluating new technology
• User administration (setup and maintaining accounts)
• Maintaining system and network Security
• Quickly arrange repair for hardware in occasion of hardware failure
• Monitor system performance & network communication

• Configuring the policies for the use of the computer system and network

• Managemet & troubleshooting of Compus Information system and Finger Print System.

• Management and troubleshooting of the Network applications, equipments.

• Interaction with end users to provide support regarding network related issues like connectivity with servers, PCs and other equipments.
• To communicate and liaison with web hosting and internet connectivity (bandwidth) provider (s) for reliable and smooth services.
• Performing backups and documenting the configuration of the system.
• Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
• Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords, etc.
• Answering technical queries. Responsibility for Systems & Network security.
• Ensuring that the network infrastructure is up and running.
To handle the switches, routers etc.
Field visits of different exchanges and nodes to resolve the technical issues.
To listen and resolve the costumers queries.
To handle and maintain the billing record. etc.
