Internee at SUPARCO
April 2011- April 2012

During the one year internship in Space and Upper Atmospheric Research Commission of Pakistan, as a team lead my
task was to design, simulate, test, implement and document FM UHF MODULATOR. I learned state of the art software like ADS, AWR, Proteus, Orcad and Altium. I have also worked on test and measurement equipments i.e. Oscilloscope,
Vector Spectrum Analyzer and Digital multi meter.

I have successfully completed my task. During 1 year internship I also learned about professional ethics and professionalism.

Design and development of FM UHF Modulator is my final year project sponsored by SUPARCO. It is designed to achieve high frequency modulation range using phase lock loop technique for carrier frequency stability. Modulator is
designed for telemetry purposes and currently it is using by space electronics wing of SUPARCO.

Electronics engineering is a challenging industry that integrates leading-edge technology and techniques into the creation of electronic systems. It requires strong problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as a solid understanding of math and computers in relation to electrical and electronic devices. Through exposure to the same technology that’s used by industry leaders, electronics programs at college of Engineering at PAF-KIET gave me the knowledge and skills needed to find a career in this field. I am a registered electronics engineer from Pakistan Air Force Karachi Institute of Economics and technology and my Pakistan Engineering Council number is Electro/17742. While earning the Electronics engineering degree I deal with non-linear and active electronics components such as electrical wiring and semiconductor devices like capacitor, resistors, transistors, diodes, sensors and integrated circuits, are utilized to design electronic circuits, devices and systems, typically also including passive electrical components and based on printed circuit boards. My engineering field covers important subfields such as analog electronics, digital electronics, consumer electronics, embedded systems and power electronics. Electronics engineering deals with implementation of applications, principles and algorithms developed within many related fields, for example solid-state physics, radio engineering, telecommunications, control systems, signal processing, systems engineering, computer engineering, instrumentation engineering, electric power control, robotics, and many others. During my graduation my focus is not only on theoretical work but as Application engineer I have also work experience on practical electronics circuit boards and useful projects. Electronics engineering degree at PAF KIET has 42 courses, 28 among them are purely electronics courses which includes small project as an essential part of each course. Engineering degree also included business management and professional ethics courses. Management in all business and organizational activities is the act of coordinating the efforts of people to accomplish desired goals and objectives using available resources efficiently and effectively. As an engineering graduate I am well familiar with management tools and strategies. • Final Year Project: Design & Development of PLL Based UHF FM Modulator Designed and developed an FM modulator which is based on PLL that takes reference frequency from a crystal oscillator and it is given to Phase Frequency Detector. The PFD divides the feedback signal and result is provided to phase comparator as feedback input. PFD generates a phase error signal which is given to Low Pass Filter. LPF pass only low frequency signals in order to provide DC (zero frequency) tuning voltage for VCO. In this way the signal circulates until the two signals given to PFD become equal. At this stage, the error signal generated by PFD becomes zero and VCO lock the current frequency. After phase lock VCO starts giving a constant output. A modulating signal is provided to VCO for modulated output. • Other Projects Robotic car Water level indicator Analogue volt meter BCD to 7 segment display DC Power supply FM Transmitter Digital temperature sensor Internships and honors Internee at PIA Engineering department Responsibilities included keeping record of equipments. Internee at Microsystems (pvt) Pakistan Responsibilities included checking and assembling of different digital circuits. Get 3.1 GPA in final semester
