• Review detailed calculations, drawings, bills of quantities, technical specifications, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, detailed analyses, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes.
• Coordination with the Construction team for Monthly progress.
• Prepare information for Request for Information (RFI) to solve Technical Issues.
• Provide input and technical guidance to Designers and Engineers working on the same project.
• Review supplier drawing submittals, review shop drawings and respond to field requests for information, and perform technical bid analyses.
• Conduct of Job Safety Analysis through Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment(HIRA) before execution of site activities as per safety guidelines.
• Provide onsite construction inspections.
• Review of the as-built information provided by the Designer to be coherent with the final solutions carried out at the site
• Identify contractual issues to the contract manager as per FIDIC and contract documents for submitting the claim to the client.
• Assist the Planning department in submitting the claim for an extension of time.
• Create and hand out schedules for construction staff working in the field
• Perform field quality control observations and assessments
• Inspect and assess the quality of materials being used for construction projects
• Calculate the quantity of material, supplies and equipment needed for each individual project
• Verify and approve invoices of purchases
• Oversee the work of field staff to ensure efficacy of work procedures
• Ensure compliance to project specifications
• Make sure that all construction activities are being carried out in accordance to preset safety rules
• Ensure availability of resources and materials at all times
• Provide recommendations for repair work and make sure that deadlines are compiled to
• Perform continuous evaluation on trends and ensure that preventative maintenance is managed at each stage of the project
• Determine project feasibility and direct all resources to the site in a time efficient manner
• Provide technical advice to field staff in order to ensure that construction procedures are being carried out properly
• Identify construction constraints and plan and carry out measures to counter them
• Test sites to ensure appropriateness for construction project
• Prepare period reports and assessments for each project phase
• Check and verify the sub-contractors bills.
I worked with this company in KAFD (King Abdullah Financial Districts). It is multi- billion projects which comprises of 37 high rise buildings. My duties and responsibilities are as follows.
- Managing and monitoring the erection of steel structures within the limitation of specific time, project specification and Construction drawing.
- Quality control of the work as per ITP (Inspection and testing plan) of project.
- Attend the meetings with Site managements and discuss about the project constraints and their solutions.
- Rectification of NCR’s(Non Conformance Report) & SON’s (Site Observation Notice) of the projects.
- During construction discuss the safety of work with safety supervisor
- Day by day Assign the activity to foreman and track according to the Construction drawing.
- Preparation of the Bar Bending schedule at site.
- Preparation of Sub contractors bill.
- Inspection of the form-work, concrete and steel according to the drawing.
- Prepare the Progress report and submit to the Construction Manager.
