• Making sure that the consignment, loading and shipment deliveries are properly planned to progress through the functional steps while maintaining the government documented and agreement needs.
• Keep proper records of all forms of transactions relating to the company’s logistics operations.
• Administering, supervising, directing and overseeing the payload, shipment, cargo and consignment business dealing methods, operations and procedures on a regular basis.
• Handles a range of routine and non-routine customer calls related to provided services.
• Handles a variety of customers’ complaints and/or exceptions including responding to irate customers who have experienced serviced failures/problems, and resolves where possible, making the decision to refer where appropriate.
• Observe designated shipments through primary and secondary traces and follows-up with customers.
• Co-operates with internal departments and GSP's to resolve routine and non-routine service issues.
• Responsible for updating daily deadline or follow-up sheets and queue lists.
• Performs a range of data input functions on relevant systems.
• Achieve service level and customer satisfaction by performing all activities in accordance with defined performance standards.
• Any other relevant task assigned by the line manager.
• Manage large amounts of incoming calls.
• Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction.
• Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication.
• Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools.
• Handle complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits and follow up to ensure resolution.
• Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents.
