As Education Assistant for Erbil office, I was monitoring urban and camp areas for both IDPs and refuges within
KRG. I was able to maintain a good relationship with KRG stakeholders, with frequent travel to Khabat district to
supervise two Education incentive workers and six other incentives in Harsham and kawrgosik camps. I was
responsible for day to day activities (such as material distribution, education related training follow ups, staff
administration and reporting activities to the management).
Duties:
• Establishing education related training, such as better learning program, corporal punishment, and post-
trauma student care and teacher capacity building trainings to community teachers.
• Providing teachers with violence awareness sessions to prevent punishment inside classrooms.
• Corporal punishment substitutes courses.
• Preparing daily and monthly reports for different activities.
• Handing over education equipment to identified schools in different locations.
• Supervising incentive workers in the NRC field offices.
• Implementing BLP (better learning program).
• Governmental approval papers.
