This heavy equipment book/manual was collected and compiled through the 25 years of professional experience and actual industrial practice of the author. Its main purpose is to establish management order from manpower classification and organization set up to classification and control of documentation and well-defined scheduling and implementation of operations, maintenance, safety, and security in heavy equipment project operation.
It emphasizes the preventive maintenance system for equipment cost control
and maximize utilization.

Represent the head office in bidding, trading and other business transactions assigned by the Jakarta central Office for business and liaison in Manila.
Managed the Marketing Section for submissions of all tenders and bid. Won 2 projects with bid value of US$ 82.0 Million. Work included sourcing and price evaluation of suppliers and contractors.
•Member of Bukaka team for bids submission for the management and operations of the KSO Territories Project. Project is a consortium with Singapore Telecom for the operation and maintenance of Indonesia Telecom in the Eastern Indonesia, for 15 years. Project was won by the consortium. Operation commenced in Unjung Pandang, South Sulawesi.
•Prepared (for Logistics) all construction contracts and supply of materials with Mitsubishi Corporation and Fuji Electric. Both were the exclusive Japan suppliers for high tensile steels and electrical appurtenances.
•Saved the company from incurring penalty charges of about US$ 3.0 million and delay of the US$60 million project, namely Project 21, due to high tensile angle bar steel materials testing results. Resolved the issue without penalty by the proper identification of JIS steel specification tolerance for high tensile steel delivered for the project.
•Secured the approval of the company's ISO 9001 certificate. Prepared all pertinent ISO 9001 operating manuals including for the major operations: Construction Operations for Erection of Transmission Towers, Material Testing and Control, Receiving of Deliveries for Transmission Project 21.
•Promoted Assistant Director of the company.
•Left the company due to the Asian financial meltdown in 1997-98.
for the Energy Division Tendering and Marketing Departments. PLN Credit Export Projects and Tender preparations and bid submissions. Save US$3.0 million penalty charges with submission of right high tensile steel tolerance limits of tested steel angle bars.
Projects tendered successfully - Credit Export Projects for 500kV and 150 kV Transmission Line for Lot 14 (West Java) valued at $35.9Mil and Lot 11 (East Java) valued at $62.8m, OECF Projects (Lots 1 &2) valued at $15Mil.
Other Projects spearheaded were 500 KV Transmission Project- PLN, from Ungaran to Bandung Selatan, Jawa Tengah, project value - $62.0 Mil. and Central Sumatra Lot 2B1 150kV Single Circuit T/L Supply of Materials, project value - $7.50 Mil.
Special Assignment on Singapore Telecom - Bukaka KSO 15 Years Consortium Agreement. Presently on-going at Eastern Indonesia territories.
Handled ISO 9001 Quality Certificate company accreditation, contributing four (4) major operation manuals. Huge cost saving for the correct specification and tolerance of 110 tons high tensile steel test result.
Planning and supervised initial construction operation for the erection of the MDF plant in Jambi, Sumatra.
•Trip to Shanghai, China to inspect and evaluate the proposed 10 MW power plant for eventual installations in Jambi. Items taken up were water Ph., coal BTU, warehouse facilities, and used water boiler river discharge and steam tubes specifications and economic life.
•Established flood water ways in the plant area using dredging pipes for the seasonal river flooding.
Implemented the MDF board plant building and equipment erection, and initial operations in Jambi, Sumatra.
Arranged and help secured financing from Bangkok Bank, Singapore Branch, equipment consisted of Siempelkamp machineries with board size maximum 5560 mm x 30 mm from Europe, and 10MW power plant from Shanghai United Electric Company, China (PROC). Design drainage system for flood control of annual river overflow to plant site.
Implement production planning and control systems. Increase production output with new process.
•Re-organize the production structure of the company. Focused responsibilities of managers to their own operations to identify weak parts of the system. Seek solutions to problems rather than wait for assistance from the top management.
•Re-established priority system with production planning to avoid orders discrepancies and customers complains. Pre-empted the anomalies with the new system.
Managed the overall operations of the furniture factory with functions areas in production marketing, planning, accounting, purchasing.
Fitting out work furniture awarded approx. $2.0 M using standard of European Design and Schedule for Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta.
Negotiated and awarded the kitchen furniture fabrication and supply for Italsi Industries, an Italian firm under a joint venture agreement, also for the marketing development for both export and local market.
Designed internal control for costing and pricing.
Designed production work flow to increase productivity and
shortened time of some processes.
•Bid and won the Shangri-La Hotel in Jakarta. For the supply and installations of mahogany woods for all room window jams, wardrobe/cabinets and small bar section. Project valued at US$ 2.0 million.
My 12 years’ experience as an industry practitioner includes 12 years in the construction heavy equipment operations and maintenance in the Philippines and 12 years in overseas assignments in Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, specifically Jakarta where I was a senior technical and management ex-pat from 1992 to 1999. I have a vast knowledge of equipment application and technology, planning, budgeting, hiring, training, operations, maintenance, Time and Cost system. I have a book on equipment operations and maintenance to attest to this.
During these periods I was able to bring about maximum achievements, such as cost savings, smooth operations and maintenance of construction equipment supply. I have designed a chart of the equipment maintenance system that will give the maintenance schedule for each piece of equipment and their replacement parts based on operating hours from 10 hours to 500 hours cycle. Also monitor the availability and utilization of each piece of equipment in the fleet. To attain the daily achievement of our objectives without any mishandling or accident for the full 10 years in operations. For this I was given an achievement award by the company.
Facilitate operation for the marketing and sales of heavy equipment and parts. Products lines covered are Terex Heavy Equipment, Kenworth trucks, Grove cranes, Raygo compactors, CMI plants, Gardner Denver air compressors and Detroit diesel engines.
Organization is comprised of Sales (Equipment and Parts). Treasury and Finance, Service and Maintenance Shop, Warehouse and CBW, Personnel and Accounting.
Rehabilitated the corporation P&L from negative to positive income and the re-contracted the two (2) major product accounts, Terex Heavy Equipment and Kenworth Trucks.

field performance and development of standard performance data for corporate data bank. Undertake all Transport & Logistics planning & operation. Oversee preventive maintenance programming (Daily Equipment Time & Cost) and parts sourcing and deliveries for operating equipment, safety.

Managed a total of 41 personnel (35 engineers and 6 staff).

Thesis: Corporate Strategy for Philippine National Construction Corporation (PNCC) Tollway Division. The tollway is divided to two main expressways, the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) which is 83 km length and the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), 43 km length.
