Strategic procurement of materials and services for 380KV/132KV Substation and Overhead Transmission Line projects.

- Handling the overall procurement process, from RFQ to contract award.
- Resolving technical issues between vendors, production, and engineering.
- Preparing and analyzing procurement-related reports using ERP Oracle and Excel.
- Managing a team of procurement specialists and buyers.
- Utilizing negotiation skills to reduce costs and obtain advantageous terms.
- Analyzing vendor performance and conducting periodic evaluations.
- Adhering to organizational policies, processes, and regulations.
- Reviewing tender documents and providing contractual feedback.
- Monitoring compliance with main contract obligations.
- Consulting on contractual, legal, and regulatory issues.
- Ensuring proper execution of the contract process.
- Managing contracts and preparing relevant documents.
- Proposing and negotiating suitable clauses and terms.
Implement the assigned duties based on the set policies and procedures in order to achieve the department goals.
Review the designs and ensure to include: cast in place concrete, pre-cast concrete, post tensioned concrete, masonry, structural steel, deep and shallow foundations, retaining walls, and structural lateral systems including slabs, beams, and columns and all types of suspended structures in various materials… etc.
Oversee and implement structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
Provide technical feedback, interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, reports.
Prepare work schedule for all Civil activities of the project in line with the project detailed plan in coordination with the Project Manager and the Planning Engineer.
Supervise all on-site Civil activities by monitoring the work performed, the material incorporated the manpower and equipment.
Manage quality control and safety matters on the site and ensure that the sub-contractor follows the agreed upon quality and safety procedures related to the Civil work in the project.
Provide solutions and recommendations to unexpected Civil technical difficulties/obstacles in his area of expertise as needed.
Assist the Project Manager in the development of the periodical progress report related to the Civil work in the project.
Monitor the sub-contractors progress and ensure their conformance with all provisions of contracts, Civil construction activities, correct Civil work methods, quality and safety standards.
Manage and maintain the filing and archiving activities of all documents related to the Civil work in the project and ensure the proper and appropriate access to them as needed.
Description :
- GIS building (basement+ double height ground floor+cable gallery + swgr + controle + double T roof slab).
- SWGR (basement+ ground floor + hollow core slab roof).
- Control room building (ground floor + hollow core slab roof).
- Power transformer foundations +3 fire walls
- Duct banks, cable trenches, auxiliary transformer foundations, capacitor bank foundations and utilities.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion including finishing and land skip works.
- supervising and overseeing the direction of the project, ensuring that the specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress and liaising with quantity surveyors to monitor costs
- coordinating and supervising construction workers
- selecting tools and materials
- making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety
- Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
1 - Providing site work schedule and progress report to the Construction Manager.
2 - Ensures the work done by the subcontractors in the site is according the project specification and time schedule.
3 - Ensures technical standard of safety and security are implemented in all project sites.
4 - Allocates the available resources on site among the available activities on daily basis.
5 - Reviews architectural shop drawings before submitting it to site team.
6 - Coordinates any misunderstanding in architectural shop drawings between site team and technical office.
7 - Monitors the site finishing progress day by day and ensure compliance with standards required by the client.
8 - Reviews weekly schedules with site team; (material, equipment and manpower).
9 - Hands over all completed finishing item to QC engineer in site.
