1. Monitors contractor’s mechanical installation and testing activities for all RC Projects.
2. Provide leadership to the general contractor in the construction of the project through technical expertise and diplomatic persuasion.
3. Witness contractor’s quality control inspections to ensure that the permanent works are constructed according to the applicable codes, standards, approved drawings, and specifications.
4. Witnesses all testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities to assure
contractor’s compliance with the approved plans and procedures. Reviews tests results generated by the independent test agencies and approved those complying with the specification requirements.
5. Reviews contractor’s mechanical shop and as-built drawings, quality assurance procedures,
materials submittals, tie-in procedures, project schedules, Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
6. Clarifies the requirements of the Contract Documents for the Contractor via responding to
RFI. Provide technical support to the preparation of Field Change Requests and Change Orders. Review technical submittals, respond to contractor’s technical queries, and coordinate with Engineering Department on technical issues.
7. Review and approve mechanical equipment and materials per contract specifications.
8. Review cost proposals and applications for payment submitted by the Contractor for
Mechanical work. Verifies that mechanical items submitted for invoice billing or Work Estimates are justified. Determines percentage of work completed for mechanical trades and design disciplines.
9. Perform conceptual and detailed estimates of potential changes to the project’s Mechanical work.
10. Verify the accuracy of Prices and Quantities included in the Contract Documents for Mechanical work.
11. Collaborate with Royal Commission staff in expediting all critical aspects of site development and building construction.
12. Assist Contractor with local utilities - sanitary waste, storm, natural gas, domestic water and
irrigation water systems work permits, witnessing and inspections, and documentation such as permitting, coordination, and start-up procedures on all aspects of tie-in work for new equipment, connections, or additions to existing systems.
13. Identify and makes recommendation to mechanical design issues during construction.
Identifies and reports on discrepancies in original design or in contract documents which necessitate contract modifications.
14. Initiates and prepares for PM’s or SRCM’s signature on mechanical related letters, memos
and correspondence.
1. Manages directly and provide engineering and technical supports to all the Mechanical work groups at site. Plans the execution of all Mechanical related works and coordinates with Electrical and civil groups.
2. Monitor the works of all Contractors including materials procurement and deliveries to ensure rightness in support to construction activities and schedule with the assigned discipline.
3. Assign targets for accomplishments and ensure targets are met on daily basis for all Mechanical groups at site. Submits site daily, Weekly and Monthly Reports.
4. Ensures that all mechanical works and equipment installations are done in accordance with
the approved shop drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local or international.
5. Ensures that all site works are done according to all applicable quality standards.
6. Directly responsible for the safety of all Mechanical groups’ personnel of the project by
ensuring that the project execution will be done according to all applicable health, safety, sanitary and environmental standards.
7. Attends regular meetings with other disciplines such as Electrical, Architectural, Civil engineers and consultant to provide update on project progress.
8. To collaborate with cost control and planning department in preparing the daily progress reports
Preparation of design calculations, design drawings and bill of quantities with costing for new proposed buildings and underground utilities. Review submitted shop drawings against contract drawings, specifications, local codes, statutory requirements, and international best practice. Review submitted design drawings and calculations, material data, sample data, product data, work method statement, Testing & Commissioning procedures, and other project relevant documentations. Maintain project safety awareness and enforce company safety policy. Undertake inspections on site in accordance with the discipline related inspection and test plan (ITP’s). Inspect materials delivered and make report on quantity and technical compliance. Monitor Contractor’s (ITP’s) and quality plans regarding discipline related works. Review and respond to Contractor’s technical queries and coordinate with Technical Department on technical issues. Supervise quantity reporting. Prepare daily reports on each contractor. Review Contractor’s monthly invoices and evaluate materials testing results. Provide technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline related issues on site that may arise. Coordinate and communicate activities with other disciplines on assigned projects. Witness and approval of testing and commissioning of the completed mechanical works.

Evaluating design drawings and calculations for HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Underground Piping, and other technical systems done by the contractors and other consultants. Review and approval of Materials, Shop Drawings, Document Clarification Requests and other Document Submittals; Review and approval of Testing and Commissioning Procedures, Contractor’s installation procedures/method statement. Attends Weekly Site Progress, Technical and Client Meetings to resolve technical issues and undertake general project site observation/inspection of mechanical works for Contractor’s adherence to the approved shop drawings, specification, good working practices, Construction Schedule and Health & Safety. Inspect and approve daily request for inspection (RFI) relate to all mechanical finished works and materials request for inspection (MRI) related to all mechanical equipment and materials delivered at store/site. Review and approve Contractor’s payment in line with estimated works completion so that they can be paid for the actual works done. Review Contractor’s claims related to Mechanical works and prepared recommendations for claims approval or rejection. Assisting the Project Manager in negotiations with Contractor’s regarding the value of claims or changed in schedules. Witness and approval of testing and commissioning of the completed mechanical works; Review and approval of the Contractor’s As-Built Drawings and O & M Manuals.

Perform engineering duties in designing and supervising of mechanical systems such HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Fighting System. Oversee installation of such equipment as AHU’S, FCU’S, Exhaust FANS, Chillers, Chilled Water Distribution Piping, Chilled Water Pumps, Fire Pumps, Hot Water Circulation Pumps, Swimming Pool Circulation Pumps, Lift Station Pumps, elevators, BMS etc. Perform inspection and supervision of underground sanitary sewer piping, storm drainage piping, potable water piping, fire fighting piping, LPG piping and irrigation to verify compliance with drawings, specification, and engineering standards. I am responsible for evaluation of design drawings and calculations for mechanical systems done by Contractors and other Consultants. Carry out review and approval of method statement, O & M manuals, As Built drawings and testing & commissioning. Check Bill of Quantities and variation claims by the contractor. Attend weekly progressive meeting to resolve complicated issues that could be decided together with the client.
Basically, responsible for preparation of shop drawings, materials and other document submittals for mechanical works and submitting for approval of the Consultant. Interprets construction drawings and studies the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications, bill of quantities prior to execution of any jobs. Attend regular meetings with the Client and Consultants, keeping information for the progress of work at site. Directly responsible for the safety of all mechanical groups’ personnel of the project by ensuring that the project execution will be done according to all applicable health, safety, sanitary and environmental standards. Supervise and monitor the site labors force through General Foreman or Supervisors. Perform the testing and commissioning for all finished mechanical works. Mentors Junior Engineers and performs other related duties as may be required by the Project Manager.
Review the contract documents related to mechanical works and advise the Chief Construction Engineer for any deficiency; Review and approval of shop drawings, material submittals, monthly report and quality control Plan; Review of technical specification and Bill of quantities; Responsible for day to day supervision of project construction activities of mechanical works as per approved shop drawings and specification; Witness and approval of Testing & Commissioning for all completed mechanical works.
