Key Responsibilities:
• Assuring the accuracy of automatically generated accounting entries and proper documentation of investment deals to limit the risks associated with frauds and embezzlement.
Actively engaging in strategic planning to assist the Management Team in problem solving & decision making; assuring that all financial & operational decisions are made after taking into consideration all the potential risks to the company to control the downside.
• Ensuring that daily and monthly fluctuations linked with the exchange rate are adequately accounted for in the GL and that internal and external queries are addressed at the earliest and in sync with the committed service level.
• Preparing bank reconciliations at regular intervals to match the cash balance with internal records; taking remedial actions where and when required.
• Properly computing and paying fees to external funds managers and custodians; reviewing expenses pertaining to interest and amortized income on a monthly basis.
• Critically reviewing the income reasonableness test for each month end whilst making valuable contributions in the preparation of the Annual Budget; analyzing the differences between the actual and budgeted amounts and sharing key insights with the Senior Management.
• Reconciling subsystem ledgers and subsystem reports; detecting and rectifying issues that come up to ensure accurate posting of sub-ledgers into the GL.
• Evaluating financial statements to gauge profitability, liquidity and solvency of the corporation; sharing key insights with the Management Team to support strategic thinking and decision making.
• Consolidating analytical reports for the distribution of investment assets & liabilities of the corporation location-wise and maturity-wise on a quarterly basis.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervised accounting operations for the assured completion of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements and supporting schedules as per the committed deadlines.
• Maintained cordial relations with banks and financial institutions to obtain funding for operational and capital expenditure as and when required at economical rates.
• Performed multiple bank reconciliations, generic accounting tasks inclusive of checking the general ledger system and journal entries and critical functions to fortify accounting operations.
• Consolidated financial information from multiple sources and prepared reports and financial statements in sync with applicable accounting and financial reporting standards.
• Prepared monthly account reconciliations and cash position reports for current and call accounts; organized regular meetings with the Senior Management and provided financial advice for problem solving and decision making
• Administered ledger maintenance and closing activities, prepared monthly management reports and consolidated revenue reporting and analysis to steer the growth and profitability of the corporation.
