FORMULATION OF ANNUAL BUDGETS AND TARGETS

•Leading and managing the budgeting process
•Report on variances from the approved budgets and the reasons for those variances
•Assist in the formulation of the company’s strategic direction
•Manage the capital budgeting process based on limiting factor analysis and discounted cash flow analysis

FINANCIAL REPORTING
•Prepare all monthly, quarterly and annual financial operating reports and provide comprehensive analysis
•Interpret the company’s financial results to management and recommend improvement activities
•Ensure that all accounting and reporting is accurate and in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards
•Ensure that appropriate financial controls are in place and in compliance with all statutory regulations
•Co-ordinates external audits
OVERALL CASH AND TREASURY MANAGEMENT
•Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs and available funds for investment
•Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
•Use hedging to mitigate the various risks to which the company’s funds are exposed to
•Determine the company’s proper capital structure
•Arrange for equity and debt financing
•Determine the appropriate dividend payments

COST CONTROL

FORMULATING COMPANY FINANCIAL POLICIES & STRATEGIES
•Ensure that an appropriate financial policy framework is in place

RISK AND COMPLIANCE

•Develop the annual risk and compliance plan.
•Develop and maintain risk and compliance policies necessary to prevent illegal, unethical and improper conduct.
•Establish a consistent operating framework for identification, management, monitoring and reporting of compliance risk.
•Develop an appropriate and effective compliance training programme and strategy (including AML and CFT).
•Investigating and reporting of suspicious transactions to both Mobile financial Service management and Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe.
•Ensure relevant TeleCash, daily, weekly and monthly compliance reports are done and submitted to Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe
•Discussing emerging risk and compliance issues with management.
•Developing and implementing risk focused anti money laundering (combating financial terrorism) risk management, customer due diligence (CDD) and Know your customer programs.
•Perform MFS investigations on fraudulent transactions.
•Assess new products for compliance with standard procedures already in place.
Perform due diligence on International Money transfer agencies before their acceptance onto TeleCash platform.
