• Oversees Group IT operations (e.g. Backup, Monitoring, Updates, Processes, ...) to make sure they are following the group policies and standards.
• Prepare the Group annual IT Budget (Both Capex and Opex) and make sure it contributes to the group profitability.
• Actively participate in preparation of the audit plan for IT audit assignments based on the results of the annual risk assessment, defining the required scope of the review.
• Review the internal controls and application security settings, and identify risks related to the company’s IT applications (including Mail, Portals, ERP ….).
• Evaluate IT applications effectiveness through knowledge of business systems, including financial,
manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and other operations.
• practices, application security checklists provided by international institutes (e.g. Cobit, ISO, etc.) for
assessment of application security controls.
• Identify the weaknesses in existing IT applications and provide value-adding recommendations to prevent
security breaches in the technology, including advisory on policies and procedures regarding IT
security/application issues.
• Provide advisory services for new system implementation review, process changes, existing system enhancement, etc.
• Track implementation of action plans for IT related recommendations, prepare follow-up presentations for the management, review the follow-up testing carried out by subordinates/junior staff.
• Perform policies and procedures compliance reviews as per annual internal audit plan (including IT and general controls).
• Prepare/update compliance checklist for respective branches/segments/functions to cover new areas of review.
• Identify key risk exposures and mitigating factors during the concurrent review.
• Prepare all audit files including working papers, audit program, draft/final report as per internal audit standard.
• Cater to Servers, Network, ERP, Security, Infrastructure, VPN, Virtualization, Backup and Storage with a
budget of AED 8+ Million aimed at maintaining seamless operations.
• HR, Procurement and Finance Process Analysis and Design to be implement in ERP.
• Oracle ERP projects implementation supervision with modules for Finance, HR, Procurement and
Manufacturing and after implementation support.
• Ensure compliance to various SLA parameters in effectively resolving IT support requests from clients.
Maintain updated labels of IT asset.
• Maintain regular interaction with business units and 3rd party suppliers for maintaining seamless IT
operations. Manage movement of IT equipment and maintain operational readiness of IT areas.
• Managing and Maintaining Data Center and all its operations
• Coordinate activities related to preparing, following & evaluating IT procurement RFPs. Interact with
vendors for effectively managing the IT procurement cycle.
• Manage and maintain corporate data protection through backup (Veritas, Veeam) and DLP.

• Maintain updated knowledge of technologies like Microsoft Active Directory 2008, 2012, Virtualization with
Microsoft Hyper-V and VMWare, Network Infrastructure (DHCP, DNS), Microsoft SharePoint, Symantec &
Trendmicro Enterprise Antivirus, Microsoft Exchange 2007, 2010 and 2013, Cisco & PaloAlto Firewalls, IBM
Trivoli Backup, Symantec Backup Exec 2015, Borderware email security, Cisco IronPort email security,
Symantec (PGP) Encryption System, Pulse Secure SSL VPN, Microsoft Dynamics and Oracle e-business.
• Upgrade 2003 Active Directory to 2008, 2008 Active Directory to 2012, 2007 exchange to 2010 with clustering
and migrating the mailboxes to the new exchange, SharePoint 2003 into 2010 and migrating data to the new
SharePoint, company old single mail security (Borderware) to a clustered IronPort.
• Evaluate team performance and render productivity enhancement feedback. Organize training sessions for
team members based on identified training needs.
• Prepare and present various status reports for the senior management and other stakeholders to enable
effective decision making.
Rendered consultancy and administration for Microsoft Active Directory 2008, Virtualization with Microsoft
Hyper-V and VMware, Microsoft OCS 2007, Network Infrastructure (DHCP, DNS), Websense and DFI Monitor
web filtering applications, Internet and intranet using Microsoft ISA 2006 forward and reverse solutions.
