Major Responsibilities:

- Supervision of the Group Life & Medical department: all aspects of the work, general behavior and adherence to Company policies and procedures.
- Supervising and being responsible for all aspects of the development of the Business of the Group Life & Medical department.
- Supervising and directing operations and back office administration of the Group Life & Medical department, including IMS functions.
- The delegation of authorities to capable and responsible employees in order to achieve the objectives of the department.
- To effectively monitor the business of the Group Life & Medical department and to take early corrective measures to avoid any loss of opportunity for the company.
- To conduct planning exercises for the manpower and the business of the department in order to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
- To conduct necessary reporting to the General Manager or BOD as the need may be.

Job Functions:
1. Conduct profitability and statistical analysis of the products and portfolios of the department and to take any necessary action to maximize the profit and sales opportunities for the company.
1. Grow the sales of the department in a profitable manner and according to the strategy of the company.
2. Develop good relationships with existing & potential clients through continuous field visits and other PR tools.
3. Develop good relations with the approved brokers, agents and direct sales force in order to enhance the Business of the departments.
4. Direct and supervise the underwriting and pricing practices of the department.
5. Supervise the Customer Relationship Managers in order maximize the business opportunities for the company.
6. Handle all aspects of the non-medical claims of the department.
7. Cooperate with the Re-insurance department for facultative and treaty matters, and to coordinate facultative placements when necessary in cooperation with the reinsurance department.
8. Supervise the follow up of outstanding premiums of the department and to cooperate with the Collection & Finance department to ensure efficient and timely collection of premiums.
9. Help the company maintain good relations with reinsurance brokers, reinsurance companies and other local insurance companies to ensure smooth placement of business.
10. Assist the GM and BoD in preparing, delivering and monitoring the strategic plan of the company.
11. Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of the company's financial statements, including the IC reports and claims bordereaux.
