Main Responsibilities:
• Promoting AHA's mission and enhancing the status of the organization among decision-making bodies, intergovernmental agencies, NGOs and the private sector.
• Initiating and facilitating initiatives and dialogues on key issues relevant to the region.
• Establishing strategic partnerships and led program development activities.
• Developed and maintained long-term fund generation strategies and nurtured relations with the donor community in the region in coordination with the strategic partners.
• Developing the internal policies, procedures and control systems,
• Leading the operational management of all AHA activities.
• Developing and maintaining regular contacts with governments, partner organizations, and potential partners. Key achievements:
• Led the strategic development of four key programs at AHA: the Socio-economic Development Program, Integrated Natural Resources Program, and Climate Change and Clean Energy Program.
• Developed long-term fundraising strategies and cultivated relationships with donors in collaboration with strategic partners.
• Led the implementation of number of projects/assignments for national and international organizations, including European Union, UN Women, IsDB, the Centre for Environment and Development for Arab Region and Europe (CEDARE), Arab Hydrology Group (AHG), Arab Women Organization (AWO), and others. The assignments covered an array of topics such as strategic planning, program development and implementation, action research and monitoring and evaluation.
• Led the operational management of all AHA activities, including the development of internal policies, procedures, and control systems.
• Established strategic partnerships with national, regional and international organizations.
• Initiated new strategic initiatives in collaboration with AHA partners and national governments.
Oversaw strategic program development in environmental initiatives across West Asia and North Africa Region. Elevated IUCN's standing, established partnerships, and managed programs in Protected Areas, Marine Ecosystems, Climate Change Resilience, Energy and Water and Drylands.
Directed strategic program development in environmental programs for WANA region, covering Protected Areas, Marine Ecosystems, Climate Change Resilience, and Water and Drylands.
Managed the Regional Water Resources, Dryland, and Climate Change Program, designing and supervising demonstration projects across multiple countries.
Provided crucial support to the regional coordinator, overseeing operational management and providing guidance for natural resources management regional projects.
Led the EMPOWERS Partnership Regional program, a stakeholder-led water planning initiative in Egypt, Jordan, and Palestine.
Led CARE's natural resources management projects in Jordan.
Led the implementation of CARE's natural resources management projects in Jordan.
MDG is a private consultancy firm seeking to build capacities in the areas of program design and management, local economic development, poverty alleviation, health education, gender, participatory research and needs assessment, small and micro enterprise development and business management. Main partners included UNICEF, UNIFEM, UNRWA, World Bank, German Technical Cooperation Agency (GTZ), Noor Al-Husain Foundation, Canada Fund, and European Union.
Main Responsibilities:
Assisted in managing the design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of MDG's projects, which include (1) identifying, designing, and conducting research projects, and (2) conducting training programs for local communities, governmental, and non-governmental organizations.
