Achievements:
• Enhanced company culture within a record time by planning and executing several team-building initiatives and corporate events.
• Played an integral role in the promotion of internal communication and company values, and enhanced employee loyalty by rewarding initiatives.
• Designed and executed a plan to adjust salaries in order to cope with the devaluation of the local currency.
• Head-hunted C-Level and Executives, and created the core for a solid executive board.
Wooden Bakery revolves around a state of the art industrial food manufacturing and baking facility capable of supplying a large amount of baked and food products.
Wooden Bakery consists of a factory (more than 350 employees) and a growing number of branches that surpassed 55 points of sale around Lebanon (with more than 1200 employees), and multiple franchised locations across different GCC countries.
Achievements:
• Played a strategic role in an aggressive campaign to promote the franchise model of Wooden Bakery in Lebanon and the Middle East, which earnt the company the award of the Fastest Growing Business of 2015.
• Reduce labor cost from 21% to 16%.
• Reduced the turnover for admin positions to 0.5% and achieved a record for employee retention.
• Accomplish a record hour for employees’ development and training, and reach a job satisfaction score of 95%.
• Created an Internal Solidarity Fund that was able to self-sustain and support employees with loans and other benefits (Total 150, 000 $)
Accountabilities:
• Assist the Director of Manufacturing in optimizing the production by improving OEE for Pita Production lines and for the French Bread section.
• Coordinate with other directors and department heads to set yearly objectives and follow-up the execution of the set objectives via a quarterly action plan progress review.
• Evaluate and analyze corporate performance with metrics that include sales figures, payrolls, expenses controls, customer service and inventory control, and link the findings to a comprehensive performance based reward system.
• Create a clear and fair Grading System (based on HAY methodology) that contributed to the retention of employees and the stabilization of the labor cost.
• Determine area of improvements for cost control and initiate changes, such as reducing expenses, minimizing waste, and allocating resources correctly.
• Perform bi-annual gap analysis reviews to identify manpower needs in different department (making adjustment to manpower budget when and where needed)
• Define employee functions by mapping processes, writing comprehensive job descriptions, and positively involving process owners.
• Review Compensation and Benefits yearly (or in critical circumstances) and recommend adjustments to CEO where needed.
• Create and implement a Performance Appraisal Process able to link performance to a fair and comprehensive rewarding system (PBRS).
