• General Duties:
◦ Collaboration with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to
establish and provide an effective supply chain.
◦ Establishing performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the
supply chain.
◦ Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and
safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.
◦ Participates as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and
guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials.
◦ Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product
launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.
◦ Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy
◦ Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams
◦ Determine key supply chain KPIs
◦ Suggest solutions for process improvements
◦ Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner
◦ Train and evaluate stakeholders / team members.
◦ Provide constructive feedback
◦ Work with finance, sales, and manufacturing team to determine best vendors and distributors
◦ Keep detailed records, generate reports, and develop presentations to help management understand the
logistics perspective.
◦ Build relationships within the company and with external parties, such as suppliers or distributors.
◦ Read and comprehend legal documents, such as contracts or import/export agreements.
◦ Understanding of principles of accounting and finance.
◦ Collaborate with others from diverse backgrounds in order to identify problems and find solutions.
◦ Support gross profit goals by negotiating and controlling product costs, lead times, freight terms and
purchase quantity requirements.
◦ Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
◦ Keeping abreast of current trends in volatile variables of the supply chain, such as raw material costs,
logistics rates, etc.
◦ Adopting and complying with industry standards and best practices
◦ Looking out for ways to reduce supply chain costs while improving service quality
◦ Cutting costs at every level while maintaining quality and meeting sustainability targets.
◦ Data Analysis: analyzing data to identify trends, make informed decisions, and continuously improve
the supply chain.
• Procurement
◦ Vendors Management: developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure that
they are meeting quality and delivery standards.
◦ Negotiates prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.
◦ Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery
requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
• Logistics
◦ Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing
and distribution.
◦ Assist logistics process for the development of new products, inventory maintenance, manufacturing,
shipment and delivery, and returns on products.
◦ Manage the whole Import & Export cycles as well as fulfilling governmental required approvals and
all legal documentation and adhere customs and quarantine regulations, customs laws, and tariffs.
◦ Evaluate and optimize cost & quality continuously to provide best value logistics scope.
• Warehousing
◦ Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, at sites,
and in the factory.
◦ Inventory Management: This involves managing inventory levels, forecasting demand, and ensuring
that the right products are available at the right time.
◦ Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply
chain and profitability for the company.
• Planning
◦ Strategic Planning: develop and implement effective strategies that optimize the supply chain, reduce
costs, and improve efficiency.
◦ Demand forecasting
◦ Assesses the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure
efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
◦ Planning, production, and inventory control
• Bank relations:
◦ Examines invoices, bills of lading, L/C and all shipping documents to ensure compliance with federal
regulations and clients contracts.
◦ Prepare and advise shipping terms and required documents in Banks Letters of credit with both
suppliers and Clients front including all requests for extensions, expiration and cancelation.
◦ Manage and supervise all transactions related to overseas suppliers to ensure the timely payments of
the purchase orders and accordingly on time material dispatches.
