• Identifying, managing and supervising all corporate sponsorship initiatives for SABB • By managing SABB’s role and involvement in all corporate sponsorship activities and working with CCM department colleagues to maximize reputational, profile and business returns for SABB through media coverage, networking with key audiences etc. • Through identifying, researching and recommending to CCM new sponsorship opportunities by focusing on local initiatives but including regional and international openings that enhance the reputation/perception of SABB and benefit the business of the Bank or its associate companies. These include conferences, exhibitions, seminars, speaking opportunities etc. • By negotiating the optimum value-for-money return on SABB’s sponsorship investment including a soft landing for SABB on exiting the sponsorship commitment. • Through liaison with HSBC Middle East for seeking information and also to ensure that ‘territorial’ issues are avoided. • By handling SABB’s presence at sponsored events and ensuring maximization of visibility through exhibition stands, displays, sidelines meetings/seminars, lunches/dinners etc. • Through liaison with Marketing (and other departments) to ensure that commercial sponsorship events conform with SABB corporate requirements and standards. • By producing an evaluation report for Public Relation Department and provide feedback / recommendations after the conclusion of all sponsored initiatives • Identifying, managing and supervising all corporate events at SABB • By managing all corporate and internal events (commissioned by senior management or owned by CCM) through creating and executing the event from start to finish. This involves hiring designers, contractors, audio-visual specialists, caterers; rehearsing the event and ensuring the professional delivery of the event. • By managing all the business support events (owned by SABB businesses with commercial objectives) through counseling and supporting the organizer in organizing,
managing and delivering of the event. This involves providing logistical support as requested and also ensuring that such events conform with SABB corporate requirements and standards • By producing an evaluation report at the conclusion of each event in which Public Relation has been involved • Creating an annual plan for events and sponsorship • By developing, maintaining and distributing an updated calendar of scheduled SABB events (including corporate sponsorship events) to all senior management and department heads & Corporate Social Responsibilities Event & Sponsorships. • By working with PR colleagues to ensure effective pre and post-event/sponsorship publicity, internally as well as in the media • By developing and providing an input on the status of sponsorship initiatives and events to the PR through monthly reports • By managing the sponsorship and event budgets and operating within agreed Annual Operating Plan
