- Successfully implemented department-level resource optimization initiative (2016-2017), resulting in an excess of SAR9, 000, 000 organizational initial cost savings.
- Established comprehensive security framework and policies spanning a variety of database and operating system platforms, in line with organizational efforts to counter global cyber-threats, system compromise and data breach.

- Consolidated previously haphazard database environment into a highly optimized and efficient enterprise database architecture, through the implementation of virtualization solutions, database redistribution and decommissioning of unnecessary database systems, with minimal impact to the organization’s daily operations.
- Set new standards in ensuring database systems availability and recoverability through the implementation of virtual enterprise backup systems and disaster recovery design. Custom 24 * 7 database monitoring and health-check reports were developed to measure & guarantee the highest possible level of operational database service level standards.
- Implemented an in-house knowledge growth platform within the department to address specific employee technical skillset deficiencies through the introduction of internal technical training courses, content-rich technical e-newsletters, and inculcating a culture of knowledge sharing and innovation.
- Database specialist for our organization’s core Cerner Millennium Integrated Clinical Information Systems (ICIS), which runs on IBM AIX server clusters, employed to support Oracle RAC environments. A multi- terabyte, mission critical system, backed up through Oracle’s RMAN solution and IBM Tivoli’s virtual tape library system.
- Directly responsible for the availability, security, backup and performance of administrative databases, including our organization’s Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) financial, human resource and logistical systems, as well as in-house development environments, hosted on a variety of operating system platforms.
- Develop executive-level, clinical and administrative Decisions Support and KPI reports via IBM Cognos Report Developer and other Cognos utilities.
- Perform data quality validation and create executive ‘cubes’ and ‘scorecards’ to assist high-level executives in their strategic decision making process for our organization’s clinical, financial and human resource environments.
