Responsibilities:
•Involved in receipt & evaluation of job & workshop related requisition' for goods and services being purchased, ‘Bill Of Material' for the Job related Purchasing to ensure accurate documentation prior to processing of orders.
•Assess documented proposals or quotes & record tender information incl. Vendor price, delivery terms and conditions. Check material availability in stock prior to placing order.
•Participate in vendor & contract negotiations with concerned authorities in compliance to organizational policies and procedures.
•Maintain updated supplier & vendor lists in compliance to organizational policies and other statutory regulations.
•Maintain a manual file / log of Purchase orders with Date of Purchase, Job No, level of inspection, originator or traceability for back up of ERP.
•Send RFQ's (with all the relevant details) to suppliers. Utilize supplier performance and previous history (check within ERP system) of suppliers before placing order.
•Follow up with accounts department for processing payments post completion of order. Participate in supplier audits and approve new vendor registration.
