Building Structures Supervision
Accountabilities:
Responsible for the inspection of contractors work across construction discipline.
Ensure the work performed is in accordance with drawings and specifications.
Inspection of all structural works including enabling works; shoring (secant piling, steel
plate piling) piling works (bored piling).
Reviewing and commenting shop drawings and as built drawings.
Reviewing material submittals
Reviewing materials delivered to the site for conformance with approved samples,
materials specification and report finding to residential engineer.
Maintain detailed diary of daily work activities, issues, work approved or rejected, hours
of operation, labour and equipment used and sign at the end of each day.
Coordinate with contractor’s team to advice on execution of work.
Identify defective works and suspect materials, escalate as required.
Coordinate with surveyors to check line and levels in conformance with drawings and
specification.
Process request to inspect work forms and maintain record of status.

Maintain records of completed works for interim and final payment and as built
drawings.
Make special notes and document contractors activities that may lead to claims.
Ensure that Health and Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company
policies including reporting and documenting accidents or incidents.
Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
Provide regular work status updates, including identified risks or concerns to line
manager.
Attend and contribute in team and project meetings as required.
Contribute to the delivery of business unit strategy, including supporting the companies
approach to sustainability.
Ensure QMS and Project Lifecycle compliance across team and projects.
Input into work of Technical Working Group (TWG).
Complete accurate timesheets by set deadline.

Accountabilities:
Assist in all phases of construction of elevated viaduct, Tunnels and Station of Green
and Red line of Dubai Metro Project.
Carrying out inspection of rebar’s and concrete as per approved method of statements,
ITP’s, shop drawings, and BBS, ASTM, approved formworks and false works design,
AND materials and work like water proofing, repairing, grouting of concrete structure,
shoring of excavated area.
Approval check of materials sources and quality check of concrete on site, monitoring
and supervision of works in quality and safety manners.
Station pilling, station piers, spine beam, upper concourse, concourse slab and heavy
steel structure for station cantilevers beam erection, for concourse slab of stations.
Involve in the package of work which includes supervision of stations and Tunnel
construction activity, thereby ensuring quality control and safety Inspcetions.
Monitoring and supervision of in situ test for field density, sonic logging, pile integrity,
and pile load test and temporary road diversion works for metro line on busiest road of
Dubai like construction asphalt road and footpath as per approved Temporary road
management plan approved by RTA.
Monitor programs for internal scheduling.
Analyses and verify all method statements of the Metro works for elevated Tunnels,
viaduct and station building projects.
Prepare engineering daily reports and progress report counting delays of work on the
basis of scheduled work.
Provide technical guidance to subordinates.
Random inspection of the materials with complete pertinent documents delivered at the
site prior to proceeding.
Maintaining proper documentation of all the pertinent records.
Supervision and Inspection of the Road Diversion Works at the related site according to
the approved Traffic Mangement Plans.
Maintain and review the Daily report in relation to the construction.

Leading and giving guidance to a workgroup of building & structure maintenance
technicians to carry out all level of preventive and corrective maintenance
activities and minor modifications in building structures of above and
underground stations, depots, system ancillary buildings, sub-stations, cutting

infrastructure
Supervising, overseeing and assisting the building & structure maintenance
technicians out in field carrying out all level of preventive and corrective
maintenance activities on buildings and structures including stitching, grouting,
scaffolding, pressure pointing, re-casing and general structural repairs and
finishes
Carrying out periodical inspections and maintenance for the underground stations
and tunnels including diaphragm walls, below and above concrete structures,
walling beams, block works, drainage cavity, ventilation shafts, tunnel cut and
covers etc
Liaising with RTA and assisting subcontractors to carry out all level of preventive
and corrective maintenance activities and minor modifications in structural assets
of Dubai metro
Following the appropriate procedures and instructions of maintenance to ensure
compliance with the requirements and safe system of work
Assisting subordinates with the job familiarisation and to provide training and
assessment where required
Producing and maintaining accurate records of building structure maintenance
works accomplished and other information using the computerized maintenance
management system
Assisting the building & structure maintenance line manager or other technical
support staff to implement asset configuration change
Assisting building & structure line manager in carrying out structural inspection
activities in stations, tunnels, elevated viaducts, bridges and office buildings,
depots, sub-stations, ancillary buildings and embankments.
Conducting routine structural surveys identify any evidences of structural
deterioration, movement or deformation verify quality construction on all
structural concrete, evaluating their impact to the integrity of the structure,
notifying Building & Structure Inspection line manager of any problem of
structural significant and making work recommendations and schedule for repairs.
Assisting building & structure line manager in sourcing and approving all
materials and construction maintenance activities as they pertained to the
finished quality standards.
Following the appropriate maintenance procedures and instructions to ensure
compliance with the requirements and safe system of work.
Maintaining accurate maintenance records of structural inspection activities,
reports of structural inspection and analysis, work accomplished and other
information using a computerized
Accountabilities:
Organizing the work on site and allocation of manpower and other resources in order in
order to achieve the project schedule and quality objectives.
Assist and coordinate with resident or senior engineer for the management and supervision
of structural and civil aspects of the project.
Supervision of civil works on the site for compliance with project specification and
applicable standards.
Monitoring the progress on site and the performance and reporting to the project manager
as well as on quality status of work.
Coordination of works on site for timely completion and organizing timely delivery of
materials and inspection of incoming materials.
Supervision for installation of glass, steel structural wall cladding, flooring work, plastering,
shoring, form work and reinforcement for concrete structures and inspection.

Preparing & monitoring progress reports (Monthly, Weekly & Bi-weekly). Preparing of
monthly valuations & sub-contractor bill, Monitoring, controlling & updating all kinds of
engineering logs. Attending and preparing minutes of meeting. Have good communication
skills for listening, persuading, and questioning, resolving conflict, summarizing, recapping
and identifying next steps.
Accountabilities:
Leading a team of foreman’s and technicians for managing overall site activities.
Handling short term programming, progress, budget monitoring & forecasting, site
measures, reconciliation and costing.
Understanding contract drawings & specifications and implementing Quality / Safety
Management Systems.
Liaising with Client’s Representative to obtain procedural approvals and receive instructions.
Maintaining records of Sub-Contractors, Labour and Materials.
Managing final hand over of all the areas in the tower and finishing in every area as per the
approved drawings and to get it inspected by the Consultant.
