I have multiple roles in the company. As Interface Manager, I am coordinating among different divisions of the company to ensure the flow of information is maintained across all departments, the teams stay on course and the pending action items among them is resolved in a timely manner. My external activities as interface Manager to coordinate with SAPMT and other projects Contractors which have interface with our project. Responsibilities include identifying the interface points, preparing Interface register, Responsibility matrix and interface agreement. Also supporting Interface Team of NGCP project in preparing Interface Agreements, raising and responding action items and preparing Interdependency schedule.

As Engineering Manager my role is to oversee the engineering activities being performed by the engineering Subcontractor (Worley) and review their deliverables & progress.

This is inclusive of review of Material requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluations along with review of sub-contract studies. Based on my previous skill set as a design engineer, the final review of pipeline/piping design deliverables, Hydraulic reports, mechanical and civil deliverables during design milestones is part of my responsibility. Ensure effective interdisciplinary coordination and provide technical support to Project Manager. Coordination with SAPMT for all the engineering related issues, raising TQs to client, negotiation with SAPMT for the scope changes and supporting Controls department to prepare change order requests. Other than that, I also provide the engineering support to Construction team to resolve different site issues, redlines approvals and change requests preparations, and closing the Punch list items for PMCC.

I have multiple roles in the company. As a Sr. Pipeline Engineer my role is to oversee the engineering activities being performed by the engineering department and review their deliverables & progress.

My external activities as an Interface Manager is to coordinate with Saudi Aramco PMT and other projects Contractors which have interface with our project. Responsibilities include identifying the interface points, preparing Interface register, Responsibility matrix and interface agreement. the c Moreover, given my sound technical background, I usually accompany SAPMT in their internal meetings to help resolve / expedite issues faster and effectively.

Projects:

• Reroute Pipelines in Ras Tanura Area - EPC Project
The project objective is primarily to reroute the QRT pipelines to restore the reliability of crude and NGL supply from Abqaiq to Ras Tanura Refinery and Juaymah Terminal. It is also to reduce the strategic risk associated with Qatif Junction by aligning the pipeline sizes and minimizing the number of intermediate scrapers in the Qatif area in general. The project consists of 10 pipelines, 24 MLVs, 25 SRVs, 5 scraper traps and 221 hot taps (including 47 stopples).
• North Gas Compression Plants (NGCP) Pipeline
The project objective is to increase production by reducing the wellheads backpressure from above 600 psig to about 300 psig. Nine new Gas Compression Plants (GCPs), along with seven Liquid Separation Stations (LSS’s) and other supporting infrastructure/facilities shall be installed and executed simultaneously under multiple contracts in the Haradh and Hawiyah Field, as part of the Field Gas Compression. CPP scope is to install new flowlines, trunk lines and transmission lines, together with associated facilities such as Off-Plot Tie-In Facilities and Remote Headers, Scraper Launchers/Receivers, Overhead power lines etc.

KBR-AMCDE is an entity formed to carry out general engineering and project management services under the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) General Engineering Services Plus (GES+) initiative. KBR AMCDE provides front-end engineering and design (FEED), detailed design, procurement and project management services within the Oil & Gas industry.

I worked as Technical professional Piping on different Saudi Aramco projects for both Onshore and Offshore (Wellhead and Tie-in platforms). Main responsibilities are to supervise and manage the team of young engineers and piping designers (2D/3D) to execute the projects with compliance of schedule, technical requirements and quality. Provide technical support to Procurement team such as Piping Material requisitions, vendor technical bid evaluations and vendor documents review. Conduct site survey of Saudi Aramco onshore and offshore facilities to as built the existing drawings and finalize the project tie-in locations. Coordination with Client and LSTK contractors and provide respond to the technical queries from construction site. Additional responsibilities include training and coaching of junior Saudi engineers and Designers.

• BERRI Five Subsea Pipelines Replacement (Detail Design for LSTK Contractor: DISA USA) -Saudi Aramco Offshore Maintain Potential Facilities.
• Replace Emergency Steam Turbine generator at Ras Tanura Refinery (FEED)- Saudi Aramco
• Tanks Dewatering and Closed Drain System ABQAIQ Plants (Detail Design)- Saudi Aramco

DIPL (Formerly known as JGC-DESCON) is an EPC Company operating in Pakistan and Gulf region. The focused industrial sectors include Chemical / Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Fertilizer, Cement, Infrastructure, Wind, Hydel & Thermal power, Energy and Power Plants.

I started off my career in DIPL as a Trainee Mechanical Engineer and went on to work in various capacities on numerous projects and assignments.

Projects:

Having experience in piping design of Bulk Liquid Chemical Terminal facility, Urea Debottlenecking and CO2 recovery unit (FERTIL), piping design for pumps, vessels, tanks, pipe rack, loading arms, utility & FW network etc.

• Engineering services for Kausar Phase-1 Gas Plant Upgrade -United Energy Pakistan

As part of client’s Design house team, I worked as Lead Piping Engineer to As-built and upgrade the existing mothballed Gas plant Kausar Phase-1. Main Responsibilities were to lead a group of designers to as built the plant and design all the modifications required to Upgrade the plant. Project was later put on Hold by client.

• EPC Works for Bulk Liquid Chemical Terminal, Arabian Chemical Terminal Jubail KSA

Project objective was to develop the Chemical storage Terminal near commercial Port of Jubail KSA. Project scope included the Tank Farm area, Jetty Area for Ship loading/Unloading, Truck loading Area and utilities. Initially I worked as Assistant Lead Engineer Piping and later on was assigned as Lead Engineer Piping. My main responsibilities were to lead the team of Junior engineers and designers to execute the design works in line with Client technical requirements, agreed schedule and quality. I also provided the technical support to Procurement team for the purchasing for all the Piping materials.

• Commissioning of 234 MW CCPP Muridke, Pakistan.

Descon was awarded the Commissioning supervision Contract for the 234 MW Combined cycle power plant by Client Sapphire Electric. I worked as Mechanical commissioning Engineer for the balance of Plant (BOP). I supervise the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of Cooling water system and fire water system.

• EPC Works for Urea Debottlenecking Project, FERTIL ADNOC Abu Dhabi.

Project objective was the debottlenecking of the existing facilities to increase the capacity of urea production from 1, 500 tpd to 2, 700 tpd. Scope of work included to install a new CO2 Recovery Unit (MHI technology), new Urea Granulation Unit and Urea Plant Modifications (Urea Casale technology).

As part of Design team, I worked as Piping Engineer and was involved in the development and review of all piping documents and review vendor technical bid evaluation.

On later part of project, I worked as Procurement Engineer and was involved in procurement of different piping materials. I had direct coordination with different international vendors for technical and commercial bids, commercial negotiations and purchase orders placement.

Later I was moved to Project Site in Ruwais Abu Dhabi and worked as Site Support Engineer for Mechanical Completion and Pre-Commissioning works. I was involved in the Top supervision of Hydrostatic test activities, pre-commission activities including water flushing, steam blowing etc.

I also worked as Proposal Engineer for different EPC proposal. My main responsibilities were to review the ITB documents and make full understanding of scope of work, prepare the material take offs and engineering man-hours estimates.
