MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIE
Store Establishment and Optimization:
• Overseeing the establishment of the power plant engineering store.
• Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for efficient store operations.
Control and Procurement:
• Maintaining strict control over inventory to prevent shortages or overstock.
• Procuring necessary tools and equipment for the store's operational needs.
Team Training and Improvement:
• Training and mentoring current staff to enhance their skills.
• Improving the overall working environment for increased efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Contract Material Management:
• Listing and managing materials under contract agreements.
• Conducting inspections and uploading relevant data into the MRP system, specifically Maximo.
System Enhancement:
• Enhancing systematic material issuance and receiving records using Maximo.
• Improving reporting capabilities within the Maximo system for better analytics.
Process Improvement:
• Streamlining material management processes to reduce paperwork and manual recording.
• Implementing strategies to enhance the overall efficiency of the Maximo system.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory Management:
• Maintain accurate records and categorize materials for efficient tracking.
• Monitor and manage stock levels to prevent shortages and ensure timely reordering.
Procurement:
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely and cost-effective procurement of materials.
• Generate and process purchase requisitions while ensuring quality compliance.
Material Handling:
• Oversee receiving and inspection processes for incoming materials.
• Efficiently manage the issuance of materials to various departments.
Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards in material storage and handling.
• Stay compliant with relevant regulations governing material storage in power plants.
Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain meticulous records of transactions and generate regular reports on inventory.
• Provide valuable insights to management based on consumption patterns.
Financial Management:
• Adhere to budget constraints for both Capex and Revex materials.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
Scrap Management:
• Develop and implement strategies for proper disposal of scrap materials.
• Explore opportunities for recovering value from scrap through recycling or resale.
Collaboration and Coordination:
• Work closely with various departments to understand and fulfill material requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for effective material planning and procurement.
Continuous Improvement:
• Identify and implement process optimization strategies to enhance overall efficiency.
• Explore and adopt technology solutions for streamlined inventory management.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Stock Management:
• Daily verification of opening stocks, focusing on essential and high-usage items.
• Regularly monitor and analyze stock levels to ensure alignment with operational needs.
Material Verification and Documentation:
• Verify incoming materials according to established SOPs and ISO standards.
• Prepare bills and Good Receipt PO for incoming materials and submit them to the accounts department.
Activity Verification and Correction:
• Review and verify all last day activities, both inbound and outbound.
• Rectify any errors or discrepancies to maintain accurate records.
Inventory Management System:
• Ensure the effective implementation of the inventory management system for streamlined operations.
• Continuously assess and enhance the system for improved efficiency.
Training and Compliance:
• Train subordinates and the team on ISO standards and company SOPs for consistent adherence.
• Foster a culture of compliance and quality standards within the team.
Coordination and Communication:
• Maintain strong coordination with the team, fostering effective communication.
• Collaborate with end-user departments to address their material needs and requirements.
Stock Analysis and Reporting:
• Analyze the aging of stocks and identify obsolete items.
• Communicate findings to management and recommend appropriate actions for obsolete stock.
