• Conducting and managing an orientation meeting for new hires
• Updating and organizing employment letters related to new employees
• Issuing employment certificates and salary certificates
• Screening and short listing resumes of potential candidates for future job vacancies
• Contacting selected candidates and arranging job interviews
• Recruiting and conducting job interviews of short listed job applications
• Preparing and organizing necessary paperwork (job offers, contracts)
• Making occasional visits to Ras Tanura and Tanajib to observe and supervise the crew's performance and overall progress (under the supervision of Aramco's Marine Department)
• Updating vessels movements via Aramco's MOM (Marine Operations Management) system
• Preparing and submitting letters of invitation (LOI) for newly hired international crew members
• Coordinating and planning crew's transportation from vessels to their accommodation (Managing crew's logistics and transportation)
• Communicating with vessels to monitor crew's logistics (signing on/off)
• Participating in employment job fairs and exhibits
• Scheduling Aramco ID appointments for crew who are ready to join the vessel
• Sending weekly Saudization reports to Aramco's Marine Department
• Supporting and assisting in recruitment-related tasks
• Visiting vessels at Tanajib to hold weekly meeting with Saudi crew and vessel staff to facilitate mutual cooperation and gauge the training and learning process of Saudis onboard
• Preparing and conducting various tests (MAP, TALA, PSAT, Alquist) for students to measure their academic progress throughout the academic year
• Supervising and assisting the students with any technical / IT difficulties while taking the aptitude tests
• Transferring the students' aptitude tests scores to statistical data and graphs via the use of Microsoft Excel
• Responsible for re-conducting certain aptitude tests for specific students who have failed to reach the minimum required score
• Setting up pre-admission tests for students who wish to join Dhahran Ahliyyah Schools
• Supervising and helping out students who are taking surveys (types of surveys included: new teachers, K-12 and pre-graduation)
• Maintaining a safe engine room watch whilst conducting marine cargo operations during pre-allocated shifts
• Continuously monitoring the stasis of the overall performance of cargo plants comprising cargo pumps, water ballast pumps, electrical power supply and bunkering oil line-ups
• Reporting any abnormal incidents and activities to the superseding officer when circumstances so dictate
• Ensuring an effective and clear channel of communication when engaged in communication with crew members and officers alike, thereby safeguarding a constant line of efficient and sustainable understanding and social awareness
• Conducting appropriate risk assessments pertaining to relevant activities demanding supervision while administrating the required modifications of the risk assessment matrix filing system
• Participating as an observer of VALUE (Vessel Accident Limitation Using Education), a program operating on the basis of a behavioral accident prevention process, thereby monitoring and noting any hazardous or erroneous conduct by designated crew members during the course of their duties which could constitute personal or public endangerment
• Advising on the necessary preventative measures based upon the findings of the VALUE program as well as examining the effectiveness of those measures whether they will repel future mishaps
• Serving as an advisory capacity to instruct and guide trainees upon the supervising officer’s instructions whenever the need to undertake such a task arises
