Project Name : Abraj Quartier 2 (High Rise Building of 41 floors + Podiums) Location: The Pearl Qatar Client; UDC Consultant: KEO Main Contractor: Redco MEP Sub-Contractor: Megatec - Checking plans, drawings & quantities - Ensuring all materials used and work performed are as per specifications - Liaising with the consultant, main contractor, supervisors, sub contractors, and the general workforce involved in the project - Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors - Planning the work and efficiently organizing the site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines - Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site - Preparing reports as required -Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise after coordinating with the project engineer, main contractor, and consultant.

Pumps Unit - Xylem (ITT) Distributor

- Selection of pumps for all mechanical disciplines as per customers’ requirements
- Calculating customers’ quotations
- Establishing new, and maintaining existing, relationships with customers
- Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions
- Making technical presentations
- Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
- Solving client problems, and providing alternatives when possible
- Conducting regular visits to contractors and consultants
- Searching for new clients who could benefit from our products by various means (Site visits, phone calls, search engines, etc..)

- Responsible for the sales of complete suppression systems
(cylinders, valves, actuators, pipes, etc.), and of fire fighting valves and
equipment (sprinklers, fire hose cabinets, extinguishers, etc.) to
Mechanical Contractors
- Design of FM200/CO2/Dry Chemical/ Wet
Chemical/Foam/Sprinkler/Standpipe systems as per NFPA and
manufacturer’s standards
- Pricing projects according to BOQ, specifications, and drawings
- Giving out technical advise to ensure proper function of systems
- Site Surveillance
- Conducting visits to Consultants to attain approval of the products
- Negotiation with clients, conducting visits, proposing discounts as per
company’s scheme, policy, and profit margin targeted
- Closing up contracts
- Performing shop drawings and hydraulic calculations using a UL listed
software
- Knowledge in NFPA 13, 72, 2001, 12…

While working as an intern for Saui Oger, I applied my academic training in a workplace environment. I was able to have a broader and much wider idea look at the HVAC field as I worked in the maintenance department for the Luxury Hotel of King Abdullah. I had the opportunity to know more about Air Handling Units, Fan coil units, chillers, and enriched my knowledge about their purposes and how they function.
