Installing, configuring and upgrading of Oracle server (9i/10g/11g) software and related products on test as well as Production servers on UNIX boxes. \n Planning and creating databases manually as well as with DBCA on test and Production boxes \n Monitoring tablespaces and adding data files or resizing data files. \n Creating RMAN catalog database for production servers. \n Managing Physical structure of database like data files, Redo log file and control files \n Configured RMAN for backups on Production box. \n RMAN backup scripting for full, cumulative and incremental levels for tape and disks. \n Scheduling export backups and RMAN backups for tapes and disks. \n Managing Production Databases in 24x7 environments. \n Checking Alert logs to know types of bottlenecks recorded during the day if any, and rising to counter them. \n Monitoring temporary tablespaces and taking proper actions. \n Provide information and assist in accessing Database objects by other applications and tools. \n Checking health of database and statistics \n Checking Index status and Rebuilding Indexes and segment shrinking. \n Database Recover from Rman \n Monitoring Checking of OS level process using sar, ps and top commands. \n Troubleshooting errors in Databases. \n Monitoring archiving mount points and data file mount points. \n Data files relocations. \n Generating execution plan for the SQL queries taking long time to execute based on statistics generated by ADDM tool. \n Database software up gradation, cross platform database migration. \n Monitoring Server Load through top command in Linux and SAR command in Sun Solaris systems. \n Monitoring and Maintaining Database Listener, for example housekeeping listener logs, etc. \nDealing with the lock issues in the database and taking appropriate actions. \n Applying CPU patches on regular intervals. \n Generating Database Reports based upon the request from higher management. \n Populating test and development database tables from production databases
