- Reviewed bridge plans prepared by local public agencies and consultants to ensure conformance with NDOT policies and procedures.
- Designed and completed independent code compliance evaluations for bridge superstructure and substructure components, as well as other adequacy repair plan evaluations, per AASHTO and NDOT Bridge Office policies and specifications.
- Participated in the design of various complex bridge designs including new, resurfacing, reconstruction and rehabilitation projects.
- Assisted other engineers in project planning, location, development, design, and/or other engineering functions and programs.
- Prepared preliminary and final bridge construction project plans and other deliverables. Drafts miscellaneous design details.
- Prepared estimates of construction project quantities and costs.
- Performed data collection, background research, note reduction, calculations, analysis and documentation of engineering related
decisions.
- Wrote project descriptions, special provisions, alternative analysis and other project documents, while maintaining project correspondence files and planning in an accurate and up to date condition.

- Drafted roadway, culvert and storm sewer cross-section plans.

- Participated in designing several rural and urban highway construction, resurfacing and reconstruction projects.
- Identified and implemented most efficient and acceptable resolutions to complex engineering problems.
- Participated in document engineering decisions, wrote special provisions and proposals, and maintained accurate and up to date project correspondence and other relevant documentation.
- Reviewed and analyzed pavement conditions and other information in existing roadways, including typical cross sections, structural information, right-of-way information, culvert data, and proximity of environmentally sensitive resources.

- Organized and Implemented activities to build confidence and gain a greater understanding of basic engineering concepts.

- Shared my experience with transitioning to UNL, utilizing campus resources, and being involved.
- Engaged with parents during Take a Parent to Lunch as to how they can help their students with their transition.
