Youth: Work Jordan - With funding from the USAID, the IYF is working in partnership with the Jordanian Ministry of Social Development (MoSD) to implement a five year holistic youth development program. The program intends to improve social services, employability and protection for vulnerable youth populations within designated areas within Jordan.

Main responsibility revolved around developing an overarching Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system to standardize, collect and disseminate the results to centralize and assess progress towards achieving overall program objectives. The M&E provided activity-level monitoring and evaluation services designed to provide qualitative and quantitative analyses and reviews of specific program’s activities.

Major technical involvement in areas related to economic and market research, evaluation and benchmarking, investment promotion and targeting, local economic development, feasibility studies and competitiveness analysis. Carried out various consultancy assignments for major clients including USAID, World Bank, UN and major international consulting companies’ priming work under these donors such as Deloitte, AECOM and Chemonics.

Took part in the following major consultancy assignments:

• Preparing the market assessment and investor demand component for the World Bank “Establishment of Economic
Zones in Kuwait Feasibility Study and Implementation Action Plan”.
• Establishing the Jordan National Competitiveness Team’s “Competitiveness Observatory”; a fully institutionalized system
designed to monitor and benchmark the competitiveness and performance of five key Jordanian sectors against regional and
international competitors.
• Populating a comprehensive “Investor Information System” on the macroeconomic, socioeconomic, political, educational
and legal environments in Jordan among many other key aspects in investment decision making.

Economic Researcher at Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MoPIC)

Mainly responsible for tracking Jordan’s competitiveness performance in various international reports and providing macro and micro levels analyses of competitiveness rankings.

Major assignments include:

• Gathering the quantitative data revolving around Jordan's economic, social, judicial, and infrastructural frameworks. In
addition to analyzing Jordan's competitiveness rankings within the World Economic Forum's Global Competitiveness
Report (GCR), Global Information Technology Report (GIT), and the Institute of Management Development's
Competitiveness Yearbook (IMD) and the Arab World Competitiveness Report (AWCR).
