Control Room Operator
working with Weatherford in (EPF/WTS) Based- Production Facility-EST1 Field in Kurdistan-North Iraq as a Control Room Operator (using Emerson delta V Software Control System).
Responsible for the control and operation of WPF Crude oil receiving, oil separation, oil and water stripping trains, condensate stabilization section, Crude oil storage and export, Trucks Loading, Fire and Gas system, Electric Generators, N2 Production Units, Effluent water De-oiling and disposal unit, Drains and Flare systems.
•Ensuring safe, efficient operations and Troubleshooting Of crude oil Distillation Columns (Atmospheric And Vacuum ), stabilization Tower (Topping), Amine gas treating Unit (LPU and HPU) including dehydratation and glycol chillers for condensate recovery, LPG Fractionation unit (C2, C3, nC4, iC4), LOW-NOX Furnaces, reciprocating and Siemens centrifugal recycle Compressors and All types of Utility Areas In Computerized Environment (DCS).
•Monitor and coordinate the designated operation from Control Panel,
•Maintains continuous radio contact with Operators to keep them informed of operating conditions to request manual and field adjustments of equipment according to process parameters as required and instructions given by Shift Supervisor and during emergency situations.
•Ensuring safe and efficient operations, Includes check-up product qualities (by laboratory data, analysers and estimators) and maintaining continuous contact with various areas and other Panel Operators of the entire Plant to keep them informed of overall operating and to synchronizing activities to minimize loss of production.
•Responding to plant abnormal situations alarms and emergencies.
•Carry out various operational start up, monitoring and control activities. Includes lining up production units in accordance with instructions, preparing start up sequence.
•Viewing and carrying out preventive maintenance. Identifies requirements for repair and more advanced maintenance.
•Coordinates unit maintenance programs, issuing/receiving work orders, signing hot or cold permits to work and ensuring all process preparations have been correctly made (shutdowns, draining tanks, purging, pigging and other process lock outs and isolations) and check all the jobs are doing as per safety procedure.

Prepare Manuals / Procedures for: Pre commissioning, Commissioning. Plant start up Operation:
Pre commissioning, commissioning activities and running plant operation This includes Preparation of pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures and its implementation for field activities like hydrotesting, Tightness Test -Leak testing, line flushing and cleaning - and nitrogen displacement with feed intake .
Mechanical Run-in (MRI)- Pumps, Motors, Air fine fans, blowers, compressors, turbines, ID / FD fans, balancing and alignment, Furnace Drying- Refractory dry out, Heaters,
System Checking as per P & ID, Punch listing, Punch points clearing/attending
Commissioning of Static equipments like atmospheric and vacuum distillation column, Heat Exchangers, Air fin fan Coolers, condensers, vessels, catalyst, Molecular Sieve Loading, Preparation of Chemical Dosing System.
Manpower Supervision (Fitter, Rigger, Helpers, contractors, Process operators)
Assist in coordination of shop drawings submittals, reviews and approvals in timely manner to suit construction installation.
Ensure installation on site is in compliance with design drawings and specifications, including local regulatory codes and GMP requirements, liaising with services authorities as required.
Identifying potential construction issues, advising other team members appropriately.
Assist in compiling and managing process services/ equipment installation documentation ensuring it complies with commissioning plans and Validation master plan requirements.
Assist and supervise the performance test of the unit with operating team.
Reporting directly to Commissioning Superintendent Manager.
• Shift team leader for the control room and field operation and solve operational problems.
• Deliver on Daily Directives from the Planning and Production Department.
• Report to the Shift Supervisor and primary responsibility for day-to-day management of safe, stable, efficient and reliable production within the operating area.
• Management support accountability for the Field Operators on the shift.
• Responsible for all process operating activities carried out by operators including operator rounds, work permits, shift logs and shift handover quality.
• Backfills for Shift Supervisor as needed.
• Accountable for day to day operation of the process area.
• Ensures all field operations are synchronized with the maintenance and operating schedule requirements.
• Supervises the commissioning activities of plant and manages the first hydrocarbon introduction such as piping inerting and line up; runs pumps, compressors and turbines, tune instruments control loop.
• In charge for work permits issues and compliance with LO/TO procedures.
• Plan and Monitor day to day safe, efficient operations and production performance and take corrective action when facilities do not conform to target performance at stable conditions.
• Plan and Operate production facilities in accordance to specified operating procedures, operating envelopes and design intent; where there is deviation, ensure authorized approval and control measures are put in place.
• Supervise the execution of inspection and maintenance activities in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and practices to assure the asset's integrity and optimize cost.
• Provide technical advice on disassembly and assembly of various types and sizes of mechanical equipment and related components (Pumps, Compressors, Air Blowers, etc.)
• Analyzing and troubleshooting failed equipment and rework jobs,
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
• Ensures the daily work permits are issued as necessary.
• Leak testing and inerting preparation/execution/follow-up.
• Conformity checks, red mark-up, as built P&ID's, Announce nonconformity work in collaboration with the supervising authority of assurance and quality control.
• Check and follow the assembly of all the mechanical equipment.
• Assistance vendor rotating machine (Pumps, Compressors, Turbo compressors, Steam Turbines, Air Blowers, etc.).
• Attend with the inspections of the piping and mechanical equipment on site and in the workshop;
• Sign the mechanical completions certificates for all mechanical equipment.
• Take part in the management of the relations with the contractors (co-ordinating meetings, follow-up of the correspondence, drafting of reports/ratios and official reports).
• Take part in the management of the contracts (payment, negotiation of endorsements, cost control, service order);
• Negotiate and manage the contracts of mechanical subcontracting in collaboration with the supervisors in all the disciplines (static equipment, electrical, instrumentation).
