* Monitor & review the trainees’ progress through questionnaires and meeting with managers
* Take part of site HSE inspection to demonstrate safety leadership by actions,
* Preparation & carry out of trainees’ appraisals & competency assessments,
* Representative for the HSE training department in different operational meetings,
* Provide support for the client in terms of training issues & implementation,

- Assist with the development and review of Procedures & Safe Work Practices
- Lead the Accident & Incident Investigations in conformity with RCA & CLC
- Lead development and coordination of the Control of Work system
- Lead the development and upkeep of HSE training material and acts as the interface with the Training department.
- Responsible for the safe execution of Turnaround/shutdown activities for Health, Safety & Environment, including resource deployment
- Maintain department Safety risk matrix and forward plan
- Co-ordinate HSE reporting & action tracking system use and development
- Assist in Emergency response plan reviews and emergency response exercises organization
- Assist in HSE studies as required (HSE Standards reviews, HAZOP & HAZID.)
- Prepare, follow up & maintain HSE Inspections & Audits at all Locations
- Assist with the preparation of Operational, Task, Environmental Risk Assessments
- Ensuring that HSE Equipments are inspected, tested, maintained with registered records in accordance with manufacturers recommendations & standards
- Ensure all PPE is appropriate selected, procured and reviewed with management of the selection, maintenance, inspection and control of specialist PPE
- Assist in the development, wherever necessary, of local standards, procedures and practices relating to land transport for implementation within the organisation
- Provide assurance to the management team that all operations and areas of influence are in compliance with the Land Transport Management System

-Supervise, coordinate and monitor the plant HSEMS program and provides specialist advice and assistance on safety aspects to plant departments
-Supervise HSE matters during the execution phase, and providing guidance and assistance to Contractors’ personnel
-Ensure that the Control of Work Standards, including but not limited to PTW System, Confined Space Entry Procedures are followed during the SHUTDOWN
-Develop and implement SHUTDOWN Mandatory & Elective HSE Training Matrix for employees aimed to promote loss prevention among personnel
-Reinforce the implementation of Company Health, Safety and Environment Management System and promote awareness of its use among contractors’ personnel
-Plan and prepare & implement Audit & Inspection Matrix for SHUTDOWN Team & SHUTDOWN Activities Register
-Prepare Operational & Task Risk Assessments in accordance with work packs for different SHUTDOWN activities and vessel entry
-Specify required Safety equipment (Gas testers, Safety Signs, Radios …) for the SHUTDOWN activities
-Develop HSE Risk Matrix in accordance with SHUTDOWN threats including mitigation measures
-Lead Incident Investigations, and ensure Incident Investigations Reports are tracked to a successful conclusion with effective corrective/preventive actions
-Participate in incident control duties during major accident emergencies or drills
-Prepare regular reports on KPIs and statistical summaries of the SHUTDOWN HSE performances
-Identify and communicate personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and train the employees to ensure that the PPE requirements are properly implemented and enforced
-Prepare & follow up of PSSR for different SHUTDOWN systems (Pre-Safety Start-up Review)
-Review designs of new projects and plant modifications, to ensure that all safety requirements are included and provide recommendations accordingly.

- Participate in the HAZOP, HAZAN, HAZID studies with implication in different QRA studies (Mainly for MOC, new buildings - compression project)
- Provide technical advice on technical safety issues with implementation & promotion of HSE standards & policies
- Implement & maintain the HSE Management System in accordance with GHSER elements (BP getting HSE Right)
- Member of the Incident investigation team with respect to the Root Cause Analysis & Comprehensive List of Causes
- Data reporting & Action tracking to avoid reoccurrence of similar incident with lessons learned & effective corrective actions & follow up
- Monitor of plant & field activities to ensure compliance with internal procedures, In house legislation and International Standards
- Implement, maintain & conduct qualitative risk Assessment with relevant mitigation measures to reduce risk to ALARP
- Conduct of Site, area & Hygiene inspection to ensure respect of the HSE requirement;
- Survey of the HSE performance on a regular basis (Daily, Weekly, monthly …)
- Conduct HSE awareness campaigns, training to endorse the HSE culture (Manual handling, Fingers injuries, Dropped objects, & barrier management)
- Participate & take part in the emergency response drills, simulations and exercises
- In coordination with the emergency response team, carry out inspection, examination & tests of the fire fighting equipment & systems (Deluge, Foam; fire hydrant …)
- Perform regular audits to gauge conformity with procedures, Permit to Work, Isolations, Confined Space …
- Review of Safety related procedures to fit the plant activities requirements.
