In this role I have looked into procurement and contract management; health, safety and security. Space management, cost management, vendor management and planning for future development in line with strategic business objectives are additional spheres of work. More includes coordinating and leading one or more teams to cover various areas of responsibility. Main exposure areas include fashion wear, FMCG, Medicine, beverages, Lubricants etc.
As a warehouse manager I was to maintain receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by enforcing programs, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. I have controlled inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling it with data storage system. I have achieved financial objectives by preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures; also by analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions. I have maintained warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training the employees.
I have acted as the key interface between the customer and all relevant divisions. Working across functions to improve customer service. Responding to client communications and queries. I used to identify short and long term growth opportunities. Working with BD team, I have presented business proposals to prospective clients. Also have developed relationship with key decision makers and stakeholders / supply chain partners.
Contributed to the development of relations with stake holders, assisted in the design and delivery of training and other support activities. I have drafted project reports, prepared estimates for budgeted activities, monitored budgets and expenditures and in continuation undertook monitoring and evaluation tasks.
Worked with a GID, IBM Business partners, Microsoft Training & Prometric Testing Centre. Main work areas included liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders including, customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organizations; maintaining and updating, customer databases; contributing to and developing, marketing plans and strategies.
