Key responsibilities As Senior Manager Finance & Accounts:
Development of internal controls and accounting procedures for new financial accounting system integrated with inventory.
Analysis of budget variances.
Monitoring departmental costs and its impact on current and future pricing decisions.
Monitoring work order to make sure that the expected contribution margin remains as planned and inform the management for any major variation in expected margins.
Monitoring treasury operations, pool funds from different banks in the disbursement account for timely payments of obligations and compliance with the requirements of lending institutions.
Preparation and presentation of management reports to the board of directors and insure the implementation of the decisions of the board.
Dealing with Government functionaries, sales tax refund, Income Tax, Company law and audit matters. Maintain record under duty drawback and tax remission scheme.
Analysis of monthly financial statements.
Analysis of the variance of actual cost of production with budgeted.
Preparation of projected cash flow, analyzes variance, and suggests remedial action.
Preparation of management information reports for the members of the Board.
Dealing with the lending financial institutions for smooth flow of day-to-day operations and taking care of Sales Tax matters.
Sourcing of yarn and insure that stock levels of vital production components are maintained at the required level.
Key responsibilities As Corporate Secretary of the above Companies:
Ensure compliance of Companies Ordinance 1984, code of corporate governance and listing requirements of all stock exchanges.
Dealing with Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan. Holding meeting of Board of Directors and shareholders, filing of various returns, transfer of shares, maintenance of charge register and adhered to the grievance of shareholders if any.
Beside audit of accounts, worked as management consultant with Multan Electric Power Company Limited. Major assignments were implementation of double entry bookkeeping accounting, training of staff and forecast for next ten years along with budget preparation. Data management to have the fixed assets register prepared. Also worked at Crescent Greenwood Limited for establishment of store receiving section and internal audit office for accounts payable.
