•To monitor and control plant systems and equipments under normal and emergency situations. The position is also responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and proper operation of combustion turbines, steam turbine, heat recovery boilers, unit start-up, loading, shut-down, Emergency diesel generators operation and emergency operations in accordance with the plant procedures.
•To ensure high reliability and availability of Complex by adopting operational procedures with at least cost and care of people and plant.
•To ensure that capital and efforts are put to the most profitable use. Monitor equipment efficiency from time to time to predict any fore coming problem.
•Communication with WAPDA and OGDC.
•High voltage switching.
•To ensure safety for plant, people and to implement EHS policy.
•Safety authorization for issuing/receiving safety documents as per Lock Out and tag out procedures.
•Fault reporting and follow up through MAINSEVER.
•Successfully conducted annual maintenance of plant (CI, HGPI, MOH).
•Successfully conducted ADC test.
•Complete knowledge & operation of RO plant.
•Complete knowledge & operation Wet compression system. ( gas turbine power augmentation)
•Preparation of daily/monthly plant summary specifying net electrical sent out, fuel consumptions, heat rates and performance parameters.
•Represents operation department e.g. making formal/informal presentations, daily production meetings.
•Calculation and verification of Liquidated Damages LD for plant partial and forced outages as demanded by WAPDA.
•Senior authorized person.
Foreign Training
• Certification from Emerson Control Systems Singapore (Asia Pacific) on DCS systems (Ovation).
• Complete knowledge and understanding of ovation logic diagrams.
• Manage Drops (Ovation DCS)
• Troubleshoot Ovation controllers.
• To build and optimize control logics.
• Gas turbine wet compression operation & knowledge.
• Reverse osmosis plant operation.
• Building system graphics.
•To carry out the Corrective and preventive maintenance of plant and its utilities, which includes Chillers, Rotary Equipments such as, Conveyors, Pumps, Compressors, Heat Exchangers and Pneumatic Control Equipments.
•Analyzing, Preventive and corrective maintenance of the robots in paint shop.
•Evaluation of the power consumption of the plant.
•Calibration of pressure switches, temperature gauges and pressure gauges etc.
•Development of maintenance check sheet formats, planning/scheduling of the daily planned maintenance program according to SOPs to prevail and control daily breakdown.
•Prepare reports of operational and maintenance activities setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions
-Won scholarship in 4th & 6th semester. -Participated in seminars. Internship: National Radio Tele Communication (NRTC): 04 weeks Internship. (2007)
