I oversee the import process, coordinating with suppliers, handling documentation, and ensuring compliance with import regulations. Additionally, I establish and maintain relationships with international suppliers, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery of goods. Coordinating logistics and shipment arrangements is another crucial aspect of my role, ensuring efficient transportation and delivery of imported goods. Staying updated on import regulations and tariffs is essential to ensure compliance with legal requirements. I also conduct cost analysis and budgeting to optimize import operations and mitigate potential risks. Collaborating with internal teams such as procurement, sales, finance, and warehouse is vital to ensure smooth operations and timely availability of imported goods. Maintaining accurate import records and conducting market research for expanding import operations are important tasks. Assessing the financial aspects of the business, implementing budget plans, and overseeing financial arrangements are essential for profitability and effective cost management. Lastly, I continuously evaluate and improve import processes, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. In addition to these responsibilities, I diligently register goods items with Dubai Municipality and follow up with inspectors to obtain approval while meeting the requirements set by UAE customs for importing goods
As an Import Specialist, my duties included identifying and negotiating with suppliers, ensuring compliance with import regulations and customs requirements, managing the supply chain and logistics for imported goods, analyzing import costs and developing budget plans, staying updated on import regulations and trade policies, and mitigating risks associated with importing goods.
As an Export Specialist, my duties included conducting market research and analysis to identify potential customers and assess demand, managing customer relationships and addressing concerns, preparing export documentation and ensuring compliance with export regulations, coordinating export logistics and shipment, determining export pricing strategies and preparing competitive quotations, managing export financing options, and ensuring secure and timely receipt of export payments.
